Aargau Aargau is a core world and is the headquarters of the Bank of Aargau, which is owned by the Confederacy of Independent Systems's ally, the InterGalactic Banking Clan. Aargau is located in the Zug System.
The planet may be named for Aargau, a Swiss canton near the banking capital of Switzerland, Zürich. Zug, another canton, is the undisputed tax haven of Switzerland.
[edit] Abregado-rae Abregado-rae is a planet in the Abregado system. Its main port and administrative capital is Abregado-rae. Rebel groups are known to use the hills of this planet for cover. Talon Karrde is also a known supplier and smuggler for these groups. [1] [2]
[edit] Adari Adari, home to the Adari race, is a planet covered in snow-capped volcanic mountains.
[edit] Adega Adega was once a Jedi stronghold and a source of Adegan crystals, used in Jedi lightsabers.
[edit] Aduba III Aduba III, or Aduba-3, is a planet in the Aduba system. It has three million inhabitants and a small shipyard.
[edit] Adumar Adumar, located near the edge of Wild Space, is a planet that was settled 10,000 years BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin) by a separatist group that was defeated by the Republic and banished. They were re-discovered eight years after the Battle of Endor by the New Republic. The world contains natural resources vital in the construction of proton torpedoes.
[edit] Af'El Af'El is the homeworld to the Defel. It is a high-gravity planet with no ozone layer and orbits the ultraviolet supergiant Ka'Dedus. Because of the lack of ozone, ultraviolet light passes freely to the surface, while other light wavelengths are blocked by the heavy gases in the planet's atmosphere. Thus, all lifeforms on Af'El can only see in ultraviolet light ranges, and are blind to other wavelengths of light.
[edit] Alderaan Main article: Alderaan Alderaan, seen in Episodes III and IV, is the home of Princess Leia Organa, Bail Organa and also, in 4000 BBY, Ulic Qel-Droma, who fought in The Great Sith War. Its name is actually an archaic and disused astronomical name (Alderaan (real)). It was known for its peaceful and nature-conscious citizens and vibrant, melodic culture. The planet's citizens had no weapons and space pilots had to have port authorities hold theirs while they were on the planet. It was tragically destroyed by the Death Star in 0 BBY. The planet is similar to Chandrila and Naboo, and also resembles Earth. Alderaan is also the homeworld of the Nerf and the Thranta. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
[edit] Almas Almas is a terraformed planet in the Cularin System. Its moon Dorumaa is also a terraformed satellite.
[edit] Alzoc III Alzoc III is the homeworld of the Talz. Muftak and Foul Moudama are two examples of Talz that come from Alzoc III. In the demo version of Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Kyle Katarn must infiltrate an Imperial outpost on Alzoc III to find out what the Imperial Remnant are planning. [8]
[edit] Ammuud Ammuud is a planet governed by seven feudal clans that lies under the umbrella of the Corporate Sector Authority. [9]
[edit] Ampliquen One of only a few planets in the Meridian Sector with an independent civilization, Ampliquen is often attacked by pirate groups. [10]
[edit] Anaxes A Core World, Anaxes, located in the Axum system, was known as the Defender of the Core when it was ruled by the Old Republic and later the Empire. On the planet was the famous Anaxes Citadel. The system was controlled by Grand Admiral Osvald Teshik, who also commanded the Imperial Oversector (Sector 0).
The planet is populated mostly by humans and boasts 512 million citizens, most of whom speak Basic. The terrain consists of plains, forests, and mountains.
The world has been associated with the Azure Imperium, Galactic Republic, Galactic Empire, and the New Republic. [11]
[edit] Ando Located in the Mid Rim, Ando is home to the aquatic Aqualish. Ando is an ocean world orbited by two moons. Ninety-five percent of the surface is covered in water, and what little land remains is complemented by Aqualish sailing ships used as mobile homes. Once the Aqualish discovered space travel, they explored Ando's sister world, though a series of inter-species wars left it decimated and barren. [12]
[edit] Ando Prime Ando Prime is an icy, mountainous planet that hosts many podraces. It is featured in the game Star Wars: Episode I Racer, and in Attack of the Clones it can be seen briefly on a view screen in the nightclub. The inhabitants of Ando Prime have a culture that is similar to that of Tibet. In the game Star Wars: Episode I Racer, Ando Prime is home to the Beedo's Wild Ride, Howler Gorge, Andobi Mountain Run and Ando Prime Centrum podraces. [13]
[edit] Ansion Ansion is the planet that Obi-wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker(accompanied by Barriss Offee and Luminara Unduli) visit to settle a border dispute, just prior to Attack of the Clones (22 BBY). It is homeworld to city-dwellers and Alwari Natives alike, and to the small Gwurran, who live primitively off of the land. "Ansion is a quiet, rural world that nonetheless stands in as a keystone of galactic alliance building-" -- Star Wars Insider Issue #80.
[edit] Anoat Anoat is a planet that lies in the Anoat system. The star system lies between the Hoth and Bespin systems. The Millennium Falcon passed through the relatively deserted system while escaping from the Empire. Toxic waste infected Anoat and the terraformed planet Deyer, forcing the populations to move offworld. In the game Star Wars: Dark Forces, Kyle Katarn is sent to Anoat to investigate a lead in the Dark Trooper project.

[edit] Antar Antar is a gas giant which has six moons orbiting it. The fourth moon, Antar 4, is home to the Gotal race. [14]
[edit] Anteevy Anteevy is a frigid ice world home to an Imperial construction facility. It was home to the production of second-stage Dark Troopers before Kyle Katarn infiltrated the base and destroyed it in the game Star Wars: Dark Forces.
[edit] Aquilaris A watery planet filled with sunken cities. Only floating city islands are found above sea level, something like Mon Calamari. Podraces here include the Aquilaris Classic, Sunken City and Bumpy's Breakers. [15]
[edit] Arabanth Arabanth is a Hapan world that holds pride in a series of "thought puzzles," one of which is seen during the Hapan gift ceremony on Coruscant.
[edit] Aram Aram is the homeworld of the Aramandi. It is part of the Aramand Cluster in Brak Sector.
[edit] Arbra Arbra is a small tropical planet that served as a Rebel base after the Battle of Hoth. The Rebels called it "Salvation", since they were lucky to have found it. Sentients called hoojibs live there.
[edit] Arda-2 Arda-2 is a small industrial world, found in the Outer Rim.
[edit] Artus Artus is the location of an Imperial mine. The crystals mined there, used in conjunction with the well of Force power in the Valley of the Jedi, were able to enfuse Imperial soldiers with Force abilities. This dangerous force was destroyed by the Jedi, who had the advantage of full training. This represents a turning point in the plot of Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, when Jan Ors is captured and apparently killed by Tavion.

[edit] Axum Axum is a temperate world located in the Axum system. In the millennium preceding the Battle of Yavin, Axum was the headquarters of the Azure Imperium, which was eventually absorbed by Coruscant's sphere of influence.
[edit] Axxila A planet of the Outer Rim, Axxila has been described as Coruscant, only "inside-out". Imperial Admiral Firmus Piett was from Axxila.
The name "Axxila" is a pun on the anatomical term "axilla", or armpit.
[edit] Azbrian Azbrian is an agricultural world, dotted with farms that raise black-and-white eight-legged beasts. One such farm is owned by Condren Foreck, a potential suitor to Lando Calrissian. [16]
[edit] Bakura Bakura is a small, pastoral planet on the outskirts of known space, just outside the Moddell sector. Bakura was the site of the truce between the Galactic Empire and the New Republic. Bakura was also the site of the Battle of Bakura against the reptilian Ssi-Ruuk which used the life essences of their human captives to power their war machines.
During the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, the Ssi-ruuvi Imperium attempted to assimilate Bakura through deceit. The timely rebellion by the Ssi-Ruuvi servants the P'w'ecks saved the day, but it was all a plot by the Vong to defeat the Ssi-Ruuk.
Bakura's only native sentient species is the Kurtzen, although its most populous sentient species is human. They are also known for their repulsorlift industry, though the people are quite distrustful of droids.
Bakura manufactures some of the Galactic Empire's Star Destroyers. Bakura is prominently featured in the Kathy Tyers novel The Truce at Bakura.
It is also a planet Jaden Korr visits in Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. [17] [18] [19]
[edit] Bandomeer Bandomeer is in the first two books of the Jedi Apprentice series by Jude Watson and Dave Wolverton. If a Jedi Learner isn't chosen to be a Padawan by the age of 13, they will be excluded from all further training and sent to Bandomeer to work with the Agri Corps, where they grow crops. There are also several mining guilds on the planet. Offworld Corporation is one of the more corrupt organizations with operations on the world.
On Bandomeer, Qui-Gon Jinn's former apprentice, Xanatos, attempts to take revenge on him, but fails. Obi-Wan Kenobi is sent to Bandomeer, but is captured by mine lords. There, he is enslaved to work on mines and meets a friend who helps him escape. Bandomeer has vast traces of valuable ionite, which scrambles electronic fields. Bandomeer has a huge ocean that covers about half the planet.
[edit] Baroonda Baroonda is a tropical world that was home to several podraces. It features wide, sandy beaches, spectacular waterfalls, thick jungles, and numerous volcanoes. Podrace tracks on this world include Baroo Coast, Grabvine Gateway, Fire Mountain Rally and Inferno. [20]
[edit] Bastion Bastion is the current capital world of the Imperial Remnant, and the Sector capital for the far flung Braxant Sector in the Outer Rim Territories. "Bastion" was originally a codename for the Imperial capital as it was moved repeatedly as the Imperials were forced to retreat again and again during the Galactic Civil War. The original name for the planet now known as Bastion seems to have been largely forgotten.
Bastion is a planet with varied climates, much like Earth in reality, and is said to be a fairly pleasant world, one of the few in Imperial space with amenities comparable to Coruscant. It is also, however, a heavily defended position, or "fortress world" as the Empire called such positions in the late stages of the Galactic Civil War. In addition to planetary deflector shield generators, Bastion is the home port of the Braxant Sector Fleet, which includes such prestigious ships as the Star Destroyers Relentless, Ironhand, Tyrannic and Obliterator. Also, at one point, an unnamed Super Star Destroyer (presumably Executor-class) was seen in orbit over Bastion, although it is unknown whether or not this mighty vessel was part of the Braxant Sector Fleet.
During the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, the Imperial forces defending Bastion were heavily damaged and forced to retreat. In the ensuing chaos, the capital city of Bastion, and the Empire itself, was burned to the ground by Yuuzhan Vong orbital strikes. Rebuilding efforts are still underway, and the loss of life was great, but when compared to the absolute devastation of worlds such as Coruscant and Ithor, Bastion got off easy.
[edit] Belgaroth Belgaroth is a planet in the Core Worlds that is covered in toxic waste dumps, junkyards, and scrap yards. The planet was chosen as a proving ground for Imperial weapons, but the residents didn't care, as it meant money and jobs. When the New Republic took control of the planet, the residents were just as happy with their rule as they were with the Imperials' rule. [21]
[edit] Belkadan Belkadan is the location of the outpost of ExGal 4. It was located in the Dalonbian Sector in the far Outer Rim. Yomin Carr, a Yuuzhan Vong warrior, spent time studying the galaxy here, to prepare for the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. The planet was once a tropical planet, but Yomin Carr used a colony of dweebits to alter the planet drastically, so it could be used to grow yorik coral for the Yuuzhan Vong.
[edit] Bellassa Bellassa is a thriving peaceful world. The capital is Ussa, a pleasant city with seven large tranquil lakes. Obi-Wan Kenobi goes to Bellassa after learning on Tatooine that one former Jedi survived the purges.
[edit] Berchest Berchest is best known for its "City of Glowing Crystal" (Calius saj Leeloo), a popular tourist attraction. It is a naturally made formation of red-orange salt deposits created along the coast of the Leefari Sea. After the Battle of Endor, Berchest remained under Imperial control and Grand Admiral Thrawn, who threw off Luke Skywalker with false leads that Thrawn was massing his armies of Clone Troopers there. During this investigation, Skywalker encounters Talon Karrde for the first time.
[edit] Bespin Main article: Bespin Bespin, seen in Episodes V and VI, is the planet over which Cloud City hovers suspended by an antigravity pod, in The Empire Strikes Back. Bespin is also a major source of tibanna gas, which is refined for production and transport in Cloud City. It is home to several million individuals — including humans and Ugnaughts. The Planet also shows up in the Return of the Jedi Special Edition after the defeat of the Empire. [22] [23] [24]

[edit] Bimmiel Bimmiel is a mountain world full of crystal caves and mountains. The two species are the doldreks and the saurins.

[edit] Blenjeel Blenjeel is a hazardous, uninhabited planet populated with giant carnivorous sand worms.
[edit] Bogden Bogden is the headquarters of the death-obsessed cult, the Bando Gora. It is on one of the planet's moons where Count Dooku (under the name Darth Tyranus) recruited Jango Fett for the clone army. The entire Bogden system is overrun by criminal fugitives, and smugglers. Bogden is, as the name implies, a swampy, boggy, mucky terrained world.
[edit] Bonadan Bonadan is one of the Bothan homeworlds. [27]
[edit] Borleias Borleias is the fourth planet of the Pyria system, and is also known by the Alliance codename "Blackmoon". The Alderaan Biotics facility, which was a hydroponics facility run by General Evir Derricote that grew Alderaanian foodstuffs, was based on this planet. Due to its proximity to the Galactic Core, the Alliance took this planet as a step towards the capital world Coruscant. [28] [29]
During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, Borleias fell and was used as a staging point for the assault on Coruscant. During the retreat from Coruscant, forces under the command of General Wedge Antilles captured the world for a second time, holding it for several weeks against the Vuzzhan Vong.
[edit] Bothawui Bothawui is a cosmopolitan planet serving as the homeworld of the Bothan race, as well as a major hub for information trafficking. The Bothan spy network is widely seen as the best in the galaxy and much of the information it carries comes through Bothawui at some point. The Imperial name for the planet was Bothawui Proper. Bothawui is in the center of Bothan Space. [30] [31] [32]
[edit] Boz Pity Boz Pity is a cemetery world, and was a setting for one of the Outer Rim Sieges near the end of the Clone Wars. The planet has been described as bleak and grisly. Jedi Master Quinlan Vos moved his clone troops there during the Outer Rim Sieges. Boz Pity was also the site of a massive battle near the end of the Clone Wars between the Jedi and General Grievous. Obi-Wan Kenobi discovered Asajj Ventress barely alive in a bacta tank inside a Separatist medical facility hidden on the planet. Ventress nearly died in the battle, but Kenobi refused to give into his own dark feelings and allowed her to live—only so she could escape capture and disappear.
[edit] Bpfassh Bpfassh is a planet in Sluis sector. The inhabitants are noted for their extreme suspicion of Jedi—before the Clone Wars, a large group of Bpfasshi Jedi fell to the Dark Side and rampaged throughout the planet and sector; they would eventually be defeated by a large Jedi Order taskforce (which included Joruus C'Baoth). The last surviving Bpfasshi Dark Jedi commandeered the smuggler kingpin Jorj Car'das' ship, and fled to Dagobah, where he was defeated by Yoda. His final resting place became the cave permeated with the dark side where Luke Skywalker had a vision in The Empire Strikes Back. [33]
[edit] Brachnis Chorios Brachnis Chorios is a cold, greenish-lavender planet on the outer edge of the Chorios Systems, far from the triple stars and deep within the Meridian Sector. Although fairly unpopulated, the world's largest moon was designated as a meeting place between Leia Organa Solo and Seti Ashgad just prior to the Death Seed outbreak. [34]
[edit] Brentaal Brentaal is a core world that sits upon the intersection of the Perlemian Trade Route and the Hydian Way. Because it lies at the intersection of these two major trade routes, its economy centers around trade and business. All of its 65 billion inhabitants live in the narrow valleys across the planet, resulting in major overpopulation. [35]
[edit] Brigia Brigia is a planet in the Outer Rim, once home to a Rebel base. The planet was abandoned by the Rebellion when they suspected (correctly) that the Empire was going to attack it. It appears only briefly, during the computer game X-Wing.
[edit] Budpock Budpock is a New Republic-aligned planet in the Meridian sector. However, the world is also a haven for pirate gangs. Many of these groups attack neighboring Ampliquen. [36]
[edit] Byss Main article: Byss There were two planets known as Byss in the Star Wars Universe.
The first Byss appeared in the Dark Horse Comics series Dark Empire as a Deep Core world located very near the center of the galaxy. It was a dark clouded planet, with a nearly inhospitable and turbulent atmosphere. It was also very strong in the dark side of the Force, having been a place where ancient Sith artifacts were stored. Palpatine invited millions of people to the planet, tricking them into thinking it was a paradise worth visiting. Once the people arrived, he enslaved them and tapped into their life energies, making the planet even stronger in the dark side. It later became the reborn Emperor's throne world where a massive city of towers was constructed on the surface. It was surrounded by enormous orbital shipyards where the Super Star Destroyers Eclipse I and II were built along with the rest the Emperor's reborn star fleet. Byss was destroyed when R2-D2 reprogrammed the Eclipse II and sent it colliding into the Galaxy Gun. In the confusion, the Galaxy Gun accidentally launched one of its planet-destroying missiles right into Byss, annihilating the planet.
The second Byss is the homeworld of the Abyssin species. [37] [38] [39]

Caamas Caamas is a toxic planet in the Cirius System that was formerly a highly populated habitable world, until the Empire bombarded it shortly after the Clone Wars, killing nearly all the inhabitants of the planet. The native Caamasi were a peaceful civilization, much like Alderaan, so, naturally, they were at the top of Palpatine's list of planets to be destroyed. The destruction of Caamas remained a mystery for some time because Caamas had a very powerful planetary shield, and the Empire somehow managed to bring it down. It was later revealed in the The Hand of Thrawn Duology that it was sabotaged by a group of Bothans working for the Empire. The issue with the Caamas document nearly tore the New Republic apart, which was actually a clever scheme devised by Moff Disra, who went against Admiral Pellaeon's wishes of peace. [1] [2] [3]
[edit] Cadomai Cadomai is a frigid world that is home to the Snivvians.
[edit] Cal-Seti Cal-Seti was home to the Ramsees Hed docking facility. Kyle Katarn used this docking facility to smuggle himself aboard a ship destined for an Imperial facility on the ice world Anteevy in the game Star Wars: Dark Forces.
[edit] Carida Carida is first mentioned in the Star Wars Expanded Universe as the site of an Imperial training academy. It was a large planet with high gravity and a large variety of climates. The planet was destroyed by Jedi Master Kyp Durron using the Sun Crusher, a superweapon that fires missiles into stars and causes them to go supernova, destroying everything within their solar systems. At the time, Kyp Durron was under the influence (but not control) of the Sith Lord Exar Kun. [4] [5] [6]
Carida is also the homeworld of Admiral Ozzel.
[edit] Castell Castell is the homeworld of the Gossam. During the Clone Wars, Castell was the headquarters of the Commerce Guild.
[edit] Cathar Cathar is the homeworld of the cat-like species of the same name. Cathar was one of the worlds conquered by the Mandalorians during the Mandalorian War.
It has terrain alike to that of Earth with fields, forests and oceans.
[edit] Cato Neimoidia One of the Neimoidian "purse-worlds", Cato Neimoidia is the location of Nute Gunray's secret redoubt and was seen in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It is a colony world of the planet Neimoidia. The planet is famous for its bridges. Towards the end of the Clone Wars, the Republic launched an attack on the fortress, led by Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. The battle takes place in Labyrinth of Evil by James Luceno.
In Revenge of the Sith, Cato Neimoidia is the planet where Plo Koon leads Republic forces against the separatists. When Order 66 is implemented by Palpatine, clone pilots shoot the Jedi Master down.
What is unclear is whether or not George Lucas intended Cato Neimoidia to be the original homeworld of the Neimoidians. The planet Neimoidia is supposedly where they originate from, but that is an Expanded Universe concept.
[edit] Centares Centares is a terrestrial planet with a temperate climate and no moons. Its population is estimated to be about one billion. It was on this planet where Darth Vader learned the name of Luke Skywalker.
[edit] Cerea Cerea is a temperate, forested planet that is the homeworld of the species of the Cereans. Ki-Adi-Mundi is from this planet. The planet was the site of nearly constant battling during the Clone Wars, but Ki-Adi-Mundi and his clone troopers were able to successfully defend it.
[edit] Chad Chad, also known as Chad III, is the homeworld of Jedi Knight Callista and the Chadra-Fan species. Chad is largely covered by ocean, where some humans make a living by following herds of cy'een. There are also extensive swamps and marshes where the Chadra-Fan reside. [7] [8]
[edit] Chandrila Chandrila is the home planet of Mon Mothma and is the second planet in the Chandrila System. The planet is filled with lush greenland, rolling hills, vast oceans, and immense, pristine cities. The inhabitants are very democratic and environmentally friendly. Debates are encouraged on a regular basis in a debate rotunda that is located in nearly every settlement on the planet. The planet was a supporter of the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. In the computer game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Grand Moff Kohl Seerdon led an invasion of the planet and intended to blockade the capital city, Hanna, with walls. Luke Skywalker led a reclamation effort with Rogue Squadron and forced Seerdon to retreat. [9]
Chandrila is also visited by the main character in the Jedi Academy computer game. It is depicted as large, misty caverns underground, filled with glowing crystals and has a eery feeling. The chasm area visited is filled with ancient Jedi tombs
[edit] Charubah One of the most technological worlds in the Hapes Cluster, Charubah manufactures the Hapan Gun of Command, one of the many gifts provided to Leia Organa Solo by the Hapans.
[edit] Chazwa Chazwa is a cold planet in the Orus Sector which is located along a popular freighter traffic route.
[edit] Cholganna Cholganna is the homeworld of the Nexu and was colonized by Bothans, humans and Gran in 4,000 BBY. It has abundant prairies and vast forests and high mountains filled with ten types of animal life.
[edit] Cinnagar Cinnagar is another name for the planet Empress Teta.
[edit] Clak'dor VII Clak'dor VII, home to the Bith, is located in the Colu System. This once-beautiful world was all but destroyed in a Bith chemical war. The Bith now live in cities that are sealed off from the rest of the world to avoid the massive pollution.
[edit] Commenor Commenor is a temperate planet located near the edge of the Corellian Sector. It serves mainly as a starport and trading planet.
[edit] Cona Cona is the homeworld of the Arcona.
[edit] Concord Dawn Concord Dawn is an arid, sparsely populated world inhabited mainly by farmers. It was also home to a number of Mandalorians: Concord Dawn was the birthplace of Jango Fett as well as his mentor Jaster Mereel. [10]
[edit] Corellia Main article: Corellia Corellia is the homeworld of the infamous Corellians, including Han Solo, Wedge Antilles and Garm Bel Iblis. It is the capital planet of the Corellian sector, and of the Corellian system which includes Corellia, Selonia, Drall and the double worlds of Talus and Tralus. In the days of the Galactic Republic, it was ruled by a Diktat, or governor, while the sector had a seat in the Galactic Senate. The Corellian Security Force (CorSec) polices the planet. Corellia is famous for its spacefaring culture, alcohol, smugglers, pirates, and general rogue tradition. Most of the planet itself is green and lush, with great, cosmopolitan cities such as its capital, Coronet, alongside forests, beaches, swamps, gently rolling grasslands, and spectacular mountains. The planet shows up in the Nintendo 64 video game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.
[edit] Corulag Corulag is a populated terrestrial world located in the Corulus System. Corulag was a Core World—that is, it lay close to the center of the galaxy and very near to the capital of the New Republic, Coruscant. The population is mostly human with Wookiees, Aqualish, Ithorians and Selkaths representing it as well. The terrain of the planet includes urban areas, oceans, plains, bamboo forests, and jungles.
In The Unifying Force, the nineteenth and final novel in the New Jedi Order series, Corulag was the site of a battle between elements of the New Republic fleet led by Galactic Alliance generals Wedge Antilles and Garm Bel Iblis en route to an attack on Coruscant, and invading Yuuzhan Vong forces.
[edit] Coruscant Main article: Coruscant Coruscant, seen in Episodes I, II, III and VI, was the capital of the Old Republic, the Galactic Empire, the New Republic, the Galactic Alliance, and the Yuuzhan Vong occupation at various times. It is generally agreed that Coruscant is the most important world in the Star Wars galaxy, evidenced by the fact that its hyperspace coordinates are (0,0,0). The planet is essentially one giant city, with skyscrapers jutting several kilometers into the atmosphere. Approximately 1 trillion people inhabit the planet. When the Yuuzhan Vong invaded, they destroyed one of its four moons and used massive dovin basals to move the planet into a tighter orbit, allowing lush vegetation to grow on it. It was then called Yuuzhan'tar ("Creche of the Gods", in the Yuuzhan Vong language) and made the capital of the Yuuzhan Vong occupation until being recaptured by the Galactic Alliance. [edit] Cularin Cularin is a tropical planet in the Cularin System. It has two moons, the molten Rennokk and the barren Tilnes. It is the primary world that the Star Wars Roleplaying Game RPGA "Living Force" campaign centers around.
[edit] Cybloc Cybloc is a greenish planet orbiting the star Erg Es 992 in the Meridian Sector. One of its moons, Cybloc XII, housed a New Republic trade base. However, the region was purged during the Death Seed incident. [29]
[edit] Dagobah Main article: Dagobah Dagobah is the name of both a planet and the system in which it resides. The planet appears in the films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and, while not shown in Revenge of the Sith, it is mentioned by Yoda.
After Darth Vader hunted down nearly all of the Jedi, Jedi Master Yoda hid in a swamp on Dagobah where a cave strong with the dark side of the Force hid him from detection by the Emperor (it appears that the dark side presence neutralized Yoda's light side presence). The cave first became imbued with the dark side when the last surviving Dark Jedi of the Bpfasshi insurrection fled to Dagobah with Jorj Car'das during the Clone Wars. Yoda somehow knew that the Dark Jedi would be in the cave, and made it there before him, and when the Dark Jedi arrived, fought him in a stupendous three-day-long Force battle. At the end of the battle, the Dark Jedi died, but the dark side residue remained in the cave, helping to shield Yoda's presence on Dagobah. The massive array and diversity of life forms present on Dagobah also aided Yoda to avoid capture. In Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker is visited on the ice planet Hoth by the ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi, who tells him to go seek Master Yoda on Dagobah to be trained as a Jedi. [edit] Damonite Yors-B Damonite Yors-B is a cold, icy planet in the Meridian Sector that was a possible location of Princess Leia during her kidnapping nine years after the Battle of Endor. [32]
[edit] Dankayo Dankayo was a world used as a Rebel base between the Battle of Yavin and the Battle of Hoth. Imperial forces mutilated the planet's surface, turning it into a single vast terrain of molten lava. It was here that the Empire's Magma Trooper division was first used.
[edit] Dantooine Main article: Dantooine Dantooine was mentioned only once in the Star Wars films. In A New Hope, Princess Leia tries to fool Grand Moff Tarkin into believing that the Rebel base is located there. Tarkin replies that Dantooine is "too remote" to use the Death Star on (the deciding factor here seems to be a political and social impact rather than military necessity).
Dantooine was featured in both Knights of the Old Republic games. Dantooine is home to a Jedi enclave which was destroyed by Darth Malak during the Jedi Civil War; it was later rebuilt during the period of KotOR II.
In Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike, Dantooine is shown as a very wet world with perpetual rain which seems to have carved massive canyons and mesas.
The natives of Dantooine are large, primitive neanderthal-like humanoids. [33] [34]
[edit] Danuta A planet under the Empire, Danuta is where some of the Death Star plans were kept. Kyle Katarn was able to infiltrate the base, steal the plans and surrender them to the Rebel Alliance in the game Star Wars: Dark Forces. This led to the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and the destruction of the Death Star.

[edit] Dathomir Dathomir is the planet on which Yoda's Jedi Academy Ship the Chu'unthor crashed. The planet is covered in lush swamps and small trees. It is inhabited by wild rancors, as well as by Force-sensitive "witches" who are descendents of a Jedi Knight banished to the planet. [edit] Denon Denon is a planet with city growth covering the entire surface, similar to Coruscant. In terms of being an ecumenopolis, it is second to Coruscant. It was where Zam Wesell trained to become an assassin. Denon was also the temporary capital of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances after losing Coruscant to the Yuuzhan Vong.

In exchange, she would supply fighters for the squadron for them to attempt to retake the Hegemony worlds from Admiral Delak Krennel and Isard's only clone.
[edit] Doldur Doldur is the primary planet in the Doldur System, and is the sector capital of Doldur Sector.
[edit] Dorin Dorin is a dark, dusty world and is the homeworld of the Kel Dor. Jedi Master Plo Koon comes from Dorin. The planet is located near two black holes, so not very many outsiders know much about it. Its atmosphere consists of carbon monoxide and helium. Dorin is home to many proud Kel Dor Jedi who later become a great part of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Council.
[edit] Dosuun Dosuun was home of an Imperial Remnant base commanded by Rax Joris until the New Republic intercepted transmissions and sent a Jedi, Jaden Korr, to investigate. Korr killed Joris and alerted the New Republic, who arrived and mopped up the Remnant forces who survived Korr's attack.
[edit] Drall Drall is a planet in the Corellian System. The planet is primarily inhabited by the species of the same name, the Drall; however there are also large numbers of humans and Selonians. One notable planetary feature (and tourist attraction) is the Boiling Seas.
There is a planetary repulsor on Drall, which was used millennia ago by an unknown race to move the planet into its current orbit around the star Corell. [39] [40] [41] [42]
[edit] Dromund Kaas Dromund Kaas is a remote planet consisting of swamps and oceans. Having once been part of the great Sith Empire, it became one of the many lost planets that had been deleted from the Jedi Archives. A Sith temple was the main feature of the planet, and it was there that Kyle Katarn fell to the dark side, before being rescued by Mara Jade.
[edit] Drongar Drongar is featured prominently in the Medstar Duology that takes place during the Clone Wars. The planet is covered by huge forests and swamps. The climate is characterized by common monsoons with devastating electrical storms, soaring temperatures, and humidity over 90%. There is a large atmospheric oxygen content. The atmosphere is covered by layers of deadly spores. Drongar is known only for the bota plant, which has antibiotic/painkilling effects for some species. The planet has two small moons, and is located in a system with three other planets.
[edit] Druckenwell Druckenwell is a planet in Doldur Sector. It is best known for the BlasTech weapons manufacturing complex that is located there, as well as the Druckenwell Shipyard.
[edit] Dubrillion Dubrillion is an Outer Rim world covered in lush green forests and deep blue seas. It orbits near its almost-identical sister planet Destrillion. Neither world was inhabited until Lando Calrissian established a mining operation within the system's asteroid field. Dubrillion became his base of operations, which quickly grew into a luxury city. The planet was one of the first to fall during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. The Yuuzhan Vong caused a massacre when New Republic forces arrived to help evacuate the planet.
[edit] Duro Duro is home to the alien race of the same name. Duros are interested in exploration (some credit them with inventing the hyperdrive) and have ventured off their home world to explore the galaxy, leaving Duro in a state of ruin. The Empire ruined the planet's ecosystem and forced all the remaining Duros to move off the planet into orbiting city stations. The Empire also removed Duro from its own sector, placing it in the Corellian Sector, though the New Republic switched it back (it is sometimes still believed to be in the Corellian Sector). During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, Duro became a refugee world, causing overcrowding in the orbital space stations. The Yuuzhan Vong overtook Duro, but the New Republic won it back during a series of raids prior to the Battle of Ebaq 9. Duro was once again lush after the Yuuzhan Vong 'Vongforming' efforts.
During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems spearheaded Operation Durge's Lance, a co-ordinated and major campaign that led to the capture of Duro. General Grievous was the commander of the operation. The swift success of the campaign sent shockwaves throughout the Galactic Republic, and even neutral Corellia began to tighten its defences.
Neimoidians, such as Nute Gunray, are descendents of Duro colonists of Neimoidia. [43]
[edit] Durren Durren is a planet near the border between the Meridian and Antemeridian sectors that was home to a New Republic naval facility.
[edit] D'vouran D'vouran was a top-secret Imperial project, the first experiment in Project Starscream. D'vouran was a living planet that consumed its victims through holes that appeared in the ground. A small crystal worn on a necklace was the only thing that prevented the wearer from being eaten by the planet.
D'vouran was destroyed when Zak and Tash Arranda threw the crystal necklace into the heart of the planet, which caused the planet to eat itself. [44]

Elom Elom is home to Eloms and the Elomin. For centuries, the two species lived unknown to one another, with Eloms living deep underground to access the planet's natural springs, and the Elomin living a technologically advanced life on the surface.
Eloms are primitive and peaceful, and evolved on the surface in times long passed. Only later did they adapt to subterranean life, evolving larger claws for digging and acquiring an extreme sensitivity to bright light. They live in communities called cseria, annually meeting to solve problems and to trade goods.
The Elomin became aware of Eloms during an expedition inside the caves of the A'driannamieq Mountains. Due to the rigid perceptions of order and structure in the Elomin world, they found the concept of underground Eloms difficult to grasp. Accordingly, the mountain explorers never reported to their findings to the Elomin Council.
When Elom became part of the Galactic Republic, a lucrative trading deal was struck with the Elomin, with precious lommite ore from the planet's crust being exported from the planet. A cave-in during the mining operation revealed the Elom civilization again to the Elomin, and the Republic began to investigate, finding Eloms to be sentient and giving them land-rights over an area of the planet. The Elomin began a resource-sharing program with their newly discovered co-habitors, although they were hesitant in entering such a deal with a culture they found so strange and alien. The Eloms, for their part, were content to persist in their subterranean existence.
When the Empire assumed control over the planet, the Elomin were forced into slavery and Eloms' land ownership was revoked. Most Eloms sought an existence even deeper underground, but occasionally young Eloms would journey up to free Elomin slaves using "mining accidents", despite the disapproving sentiment among the Elom elders.
Eloms rarely journey off the planet Elom, and those who do show sociopathic streaks in their personalities, possibly because of their separation from their native environment.
[edit] Elrood Elrood is a primary planet in the Elrood System near the Rimma Trade Route. It has two moons, Sharene and Lodos. The sector itself contains "The Drift" and the nebulous Degan Gas Clouds making navigation somewhat hazardous for inexperienced pilots. During the era of the Galactic Empire, Elrood was controlled by the sinister Moff Villis Andal.
[edit] Empress Teta Empress Teta is a planet in the Empress Teta System. Formerly known as Koros Major, it was renamed after Empress Teta, who in 5,000 BBY unified all the planets in the system. Since the capital city of Cinnagar covers more than half the planet, the planet itself is also often referred to as Cinnagar.
After the Battle of Endor and the fall of the Galactic Empire, several Imperial generals fled to Empress Teta in hopes of escaping Luke Skywalker's Jedi that would come for them. They resided there for many years, where they whiled away their time by planning revenge on the newly formed Republic. One of the weapons they created while on Empress Teta was the Cinnagar Death Star. However, the inhabitants of Empress Teta rose up in revolt against the generals, spurred on by help that arrived in the form of Jedi from Coruscant. The battle grew fierce, and the Imperial generals unleashed several of their weapons against both the natives and the Jedi. The end result was that three-quarters of the planet was environmentally ruined by the weapons. Eventually, the Jedi overcame the generals. After the battle, the brutally battered yet still standing planet sought to be left in peace from the galaxy. Empress Teta is now a broken and dead planet, trying to heal from its wounds.
[edit] Endor Endor, seen in Episode VI, is the gas giant to the forest moon of Endor, featured in Return of the Jedi. Endor is located in the remote Moddell Sector. Endor is believed to make two appearances in Return of the Jedi, seen as a pinkish planet in the background of a scene with the forest moon. [1] [2]
[edit] Ennth Ennth is a planet that self-destructs via volcanic eruptions of the planet's crust every 7–8 years. It is also the home planet of the Jedi Knight Zekk.
[edit] Eos Eos is a lava planet, and the secret location of a Trade Federation droid factory. It supplied many droids and ships for the invasion of Naboo and other worlds that did not pay their dues to the Trade Federation. Eos was also rich in minerals required for the Trade Federation technology. It was discovered by one of the Trade Federation's human pilots, Vana Sage, who overheard a communication about the illegal invasion of Naboo. The Federation attempted to murder her, but she escaped and stumbled upon the small planet. After she had met up with her counterpart, Reti, as well as Reese Dallows and Nym, they went to destroy the droid factory there. Once it was destroyed, the heroes went to help liberate Naboo. Eos was never used again after its original factory was destroyed. Eos is featured in the game Star Wars: Starfighter.
[edit] Ergo Ergo is home to an Imperial fueling facility. Kyle Katarn used it to smuggle himself aboard the Executor, after which he could make his way to the Arc Hammer, a Super Star Destroyer which housed the final construction facility for the Dark Troopers.
[edit] Eriadu Eriadu is the homeworld of Grand Moff Tarkin. The surface is full of dirty industry and waste zones that pollute the atmosphere. Eriadu manufactures many goods that can be purchased by the player character in the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. [3]
[edit] Esseles Esseles is a Core World residing in Darpa Sector along the Perlemian Trade Route. It is a mountainous world where the inhabitants dwell within the deep mist-shrouded valleys. Esseles was the main political power center within Darpa Sector prior to the events of the Clone Wars and the rise of the Empire. Under Imperial control, the world suffered economically and quickly lost most of its sector influence and territories, but the inhabitants, being naturally peaceful, chose not to intervene in the affairs of the Emperor.
[edit] Etti IV Etti IV is a mostly urban covered world within the Corporate Sector Authority (CSA), and home of the Etti people—tall, gaunt humanoids with thin bodies and long limbs. The rest of the planet features smooth, moss-covered plains and shallow, saline oceans. The world profits from being near several hyperspace trade routes that run through the CSA. [4]
[edit] Exodo II Exodo II is a hot, stormy, and dense world in the Meridian Sector, near Durren and Odos. The Millennium Falcon had a brief encounter with the world nine years after the Battle of Endor. [5]
[edit] Falleen Falleen is home to the species of the same name, and is the birthplace of Prince Xizor. The planet fell in a bloody battle with the Yuuzhan Vong shortly after the Battle of Kalarba.
[edit] Felucia Felucia is a world covered in giant fungus-like organisms. Two Jedi Knights, Aayla Secura and Barriss Offee, led Republic forces on Felucia in Revenge of the Sith before Aayla was executed by her clone troopers as part of Order 66, and Offee was blasted away by a Clone Turbo Tank. Felucia is home to some strange species of plants and animals, including the acklay. This planet was colonized by the Gossam in 40,000 BBY.
[edit] Fest Fest is the primary planet in the Fest System. The planet is ravaged by civil war both among its inhabitants and against Mantooine. The Festians were rebellious to the Empire and knew that it was about to attack Mantooine, but the distrust for each other, coupled with a lack of communications facilities, prevented them from warning the other planet.
Fest is dominated by steep mountain ranges and deep valleys. The planet appears in two Star Wars games. In Star Wars: Dark Forces, in a rocky and cliffy region there is an Imperial research facility concerned with the weapons of the Dark Troopers. In a level of the Nintendo 64 game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, in a snowy region resembling Hoth, there appears a factory plane specializing in the production of AT-ATs and AT-PTs.
[edit] Fondor Fondor is a Mid Rim world famous for its orbital shipyards. Much of its surface is scarred from incessant mining for raw materials to supply the always-hungry shipyards, as well as Fondor's moons. Darth Vader's Executor-class Super Star Destroyer was constructed over Fondor. During the war, Rogue Squadron stole TIE Hunters and used them to infiltrate the Star Destroyer construction yards, beginning a big battle. The strategically valuable planet became a target during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion; it was saved from Vong invasion when a blast from Centerpoint Station directed by Thrackan Sal-Solo destroyed a portion of the enemy fleet. However Fondor was saved at the cost of the Hapan war fleet, which was caught in the inexpertly aimed weapon's destructive blast. Fondor would continue to supply the Galactic Alliance with starships in the war. [6] [7]
[edit] Foundry Foundry was a Techno Union world where battle droids were produced.
[edit] Frego Frego is a wealthy planet once controlled by a crime ring led by the Cobral family. However, after one of the family members testified in front of the Senate, Frego started on the road to a new beginning.
[edit] Fresia Fresia is a ringed world populated by mining or repair droids. Fresia is also populated by blue-furred creatures called calicis. Calicis are the only organic form of intelligence. Fresia has diamond and spice mines.
[edit] Froz Froz is the homeworld of the Frozians. The planet is located in the Corellian Sector.
[edit] Gala Gala is a beautiful and wealthy world once under the control of a royal family. It is fairly close to Melida/Daan and Phindar. However, twenty years before the Galactic Civil War, the Prince of Gala was surrounded by corruption. With the help of Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, the truth behind the corruption was discovered, and Gala was set on a course for democracy.

[edit] Galidraan Galidraan was the site of the Battle of Galidraan between Count Dooku with the Jedi and Jango Fett with the Mandalorians.
[edit] Gallinore Gallinore is a beautiful world in the Hapes Consortium that is famous for its rainbow gems, long-living creatures that radiate a beautiful, colorful shine. Rainbow gems are extremely valuable, yet hundreds of them were given to Princess Leia Organa by the Hapans.
[edit] Gamorr Gamorr is the home of the Gamorreans. [8]
[edit] Gand Gand is the homeworld of the Gand. Its atmosphere is primarily ammonia, making it lethal to most galactic lifeforms, and conversely, oxygen is just as deadly to Gand. Those Gand who leave their homeworld must wear an ammonia rebreather, and often find work as bounty hunters, due to their tradition of "findsmen".
[edit] Garqi Garqi was a very unusual planet, as it appeared purple from space. This was mainly because the minerals in its soil turned the native plant life purple. Garqi was an agricultural planet that was captured easily by the Yuuzhan Vong.
[edit] Generis Generis is a desert planet full of towns and cities, sector capital of Atrivis Sector. Five years after the Battle of Endor, Grand Admiral Thrawn captured it from the New Republic, destroying the Republic communications center and most of the sector fleet supply depots.
[edit] Genesia Genesia, located in Brak Sector, was a haven to many of the sector's crimelords due to the corruptibility of the local government.
[edit] Gentes Gentes is one of the inhospitable planets of the Anoat System. The dwarf-like Ugnaughts are from here.
[edit] Gerona Gerona is a planet in the Elrood system. It looks like a blue world with rings around it. Its population is mostly human with Twi'leks, Duros, Sullustans and Koboks also representing it. The terrain of the planet is rainforests, urban areas, deserts, grasslands, and seas.
[edit] Geonosis Main article: Geonosis Geonosis, seen in Episode II, is the home planet of the Geonosians, and the site of the Battle of Geonosis. Geonosis is ruled by Poggle the Lesser. It was a complex for droid factories as well as a hideout for the Separatist leaders until the Clone War outbreak.
The planet is located less than one parsec from Tatooine. In many ways the planet is similar to Tatooine, as it is a rocky desert world. One notable difference is that the planet has large and dense rings in orbit. Furthermore, the Geonosians dug a complex series of caves underneath the surface, with occasional spires of secretions protruding from the ground in some areas. One such example of this is the Geonosian execution arena.
The Clone Wars began on this planet after Anakin Skywalker, Padmé Amidala, and Obi-Wan Kenobi were captured by the Trade Federation and the Geonosians.

[edit] Ghorman Ghorman was the site of an Imperial massacre, initiated by Grand Moff Tarkin. The planet is located in Sern Sector.

[edit] Gorsh Gorsh is a restricted planet in the Outer Rim. The third planet in the Gorsh System, Gorsh was first discovered by the Geentech Corporation. The Galactic Empire granted them full authorization to the planet.
[edit] Gravlex Med Gravlex Med in Raioballo Sector was the homeworld of the Anx. The planet was an idyllic world until it was taken over by the Empire. Hazardous waste stored on the planet soon leaked out and devastated the environment. Eventually the planet was abandoned as a wasteland.
[edit] Grizmallt Grizmallt is a Core World which suffered a violent revolution in 4,000 BBY which caused refugees to leave the planet and first settle Naboo.
[edit] Gyndine Gyndine is the site of a major Kuat Drive Yards shipyard. Imperator, lead ship of the Imperial-class Star Destroyers, was built here.

Had Abbadon Had Abbadon is a world with six moons that is inhabited by humans.
During production for Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Had Abbadon was the planned capital of the Galactic Empire and was to appear on-screen. However, the planet was replaced by the forest moon of Endor in the movie, and the capital of the Galactic Empire became known as Coruscant.
[edit] Handooine Handooine is a planet near Jabiim. It was the staging ground for the Army of the Republic before the Battle of Jabiim.
[edit] Hapes Hapes is the homeworld of the 63 star systems of the Hapes Consortium. It has a matriarchal society, with a Queen Mother ruling. Past Queen Mothers include Ta'a Chume and Teneniel Djo; the current Queen Mother is the Jedi Knight Tenel Ka. [1] [2]
[edit] Haruun Kal Main article: Haruun Kal Haruun Kal ("Above the Clouds" in the language of its natives) was the homeworld of the famed Jedi Master Mace Windu.
The first and only habitable world in the Al'har system, Haruun Kal appeared to be an oceanic world from space. However, this "ocean" was in fact a sea of toxic gases brought to the surface by volcanic activity, and broken by mountains and plateaus. Only the landmasses which reached into the atmosphere could support life, and thus it was high in these mountains and plateaus where native life evolved. This is also the homeworld of Mace Windu, Jedi Knight.
[edit] Hathrox III Hathrox III is an urban planet populated by humans, Weequay, Gran, Twi'leks and Wroonians.

[edit] Hesperidium Hesperidium is a luxurious resort near Coruscant. Palpatine had a retreat on the world. Furthermore, many New Republic diplomats stay on Hesperidium during their travels to the Coruscant system. [3]

[edit] Honoghr Honoghr is home to the Noghri. A battle in orbit during the early time of the Galactic Empire caused planetwide ecological catastrophe when a starship crashed into the planet and exploded. The Empire convinced the native Noghri to work for them in return for restoring their planet, and deliberately hamstrung the relief effort to keep the Noghri subjugated. [6] [7] [8] [9]
[edit] Hoth Main article: Hoth Hoth, seen in Episode V, is the sixth planet of a remote system. It is a world covered in snow and ice, with numerous moons, and pelted by meteorites from a nearby asteroid belt. Native creatures include the wampa and the tauntaun. [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [15]
The Rebel Alliance relocated to Hoth after their victory in the Battle of Yavin. However, an Imperial probe droid discovered the shield generator on Hoth, before being discovered itself. The Rebels began preparations to leave, but Darth Vader's Death Squadron arrived too soon, and the Rebels were forced into combat to cover their escape. The Empire triumphed in the Battle of Hoth.
[edit] Hrasskis Hrasskis is the homeworld of the race of the same name. Little is known about the planet. [16]
[edit] Hurcha Hurcha is an extremely cold planet in the Churba system, located near New Cov. [17]
[edit] Hypori After the Battle of Naboo, the Republic passed strict laws that severely hampered the manufacture and distribution of battle droid armies. Massive corporate entities like the Trade Federation appeared to comply with the new legislation, shutting down numerous factories within the Republic borders. In truth, they simply moved the bulk of their operations to worlds outside the Republic's jurisdiction, continuing their work in secret.
Geonosis was one of the largest of these covert foundries. The nearby world of Hypori was another. A temperate world rich with minerals, Hypori has no intelligent life. The leaders of the Baktoid Armor Workshop sponsored a colonial effort, transporting an entire Geonosian hive to Hypori. Though the tough bedrock and soil proved difficult to assimilate into a true and proper hive-mound, the Geonosian workers nonetheless turned the planet into a massive foundry, churning out battle droids in preparation for the war to come.
Jedi Master Daakman Barrek discovered the foundry during an intelligence-gathering mission with his padawan Sha'a Gi. The two reported it to Coruscant, who dispatched an elite Jedi taskforce complete with clone trooper infantry to destroy the facility. Disguised orbital mines crippled much of the taskforce before it even made planetfall.
On the surface, the Separatist military commander, General Grievous, led the battle droid army that destroyed what remained of the taskforce.
[edit] Ichtor 8 Main article: Ichtor 8 Ichtor 8 is the eighth planet in the Ichtor system.
[edit] Iego When Anakin first met Padmé, he asks if she is an "angel". According to him, they live on the moons of a mysterious planet called Iego. He claimed the deep-space pilots had told him they are the most beautiful creatures in the universe.
Iego is featured in Star Wars: The Role-Playing Game as a desert rogue planet floating in the middle of a nebula cloud known as the Extrictarium. It doesn't orbit a star. Instead, it is provided light and warmth by the energies of the nebula and barely supports life. The planet is lit up on all sides by the glow of the nebula and never experiences nightfall. The radiation that bombards it is so intense that most inhabitants of the planet will go blind within a few days if not wearing visual protection. It is surrounded by dozens of rocky moons that all drift along with it. Iego's location, and its existence, is hotly debated among spacers. Those who go looking for it are said to never return, having been killed travelling through the dangerous nebula, while others who come back have incredible stories to tell. [18]
[edit] Iktotchon Iktotchon's moon, Iktotch, is home to the Iktotchi.
[edit] Ilum Ilum is home of the crystals that give lightsabers their color. During the Clone Wars, the Separatists launched a covert strike against Ilum with Chameleon droids. Barriss Offee and Luminara Unduli were in one of the caves containing lightsaber crystals at the time, but they soon realized that there were too many. Seeing this in a vision, Jedi Master Yoda requested Padmé Amidala to go to Ilum, but Captain Typho objected. Typho was "persuaded" to go, and together they saved the crystal caves, with Offee and Unduli safe.
[edit] Iridonia Iridonia is home to Zabrak such as Sith Lord Darth Maul, and Jedi Master Agen Kolar. Though not actually born on Iridonia, Eeth Koth is a direct decendant from Iridonian ancestors. Though known for its harsh desert climate that would make Tatooine look downright temperate, the planet also has rainforests, urban cities and frozen mountains filled with life.

[edit] Ison Ison is a planet that's in a permanent planet-wide storm. It is an ocean planet with big floating cities, similar to Mon Calamari, Kamino, and Manaan. The native Chelin built the floating cities. It is also located near the Ison Corridor, a travel spine that featured the Hoth and Yavin regions on its route.
[edit] Jabiim Jabiim was the site of the Battle of Jabiim which resulted in Confederate Separatist conquest of the planet, during the Clone Wars. After the battle, Anakin Skywalker helped push the Confederacy off the planet. During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance discovered the planet and some of their members were taken hostage by the remaining Jabiim Rebels while the Galactic Empire launched a full-blown invasion of the planet.

Kalarba The planet Kalarba was the capital of Kalarba Sector. The droids R2-D2 and C-3PO had a number of adventures on Kalarba while in the ownership of a local baron. The planet was devastated when the Yuuzhan Vong crashed Hosk Station into it.
[edit] Kalee Kalee is the homeworld of the Kaleesh, including General Grievous. Kalee is a desert like planet with a tropical looking landscape. Kalee lacks many resources and was at war with the planet Huk.
[edit] Kalist VI Kalist VI is the homeworld of Dak Ralter, Luke Skywalker's snowspeeder tail-gunner, who was killed during the Battle of Hoth.
[edit] Kamino Main article: Kamino Kamino (pronounced kuh-MEE-no) is completely covered in oceans after an enormous flood that wiped across its surface, and it is always covered with clouds and rain. It is inhabited by a race of tall, elegant creatures, called Kaminoans, an isolationist species known for their cloning technology. The Kaminoan capital is Tipoca City.
The Clone Army for the Galactic Republic was generated on Kamino, seen in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Obi-Wan Kenobi was directed here to follow a lead on the whereabouts of Senator Amidala's would-be assassin through a single poison dart. During Obi-Wan's stay on Kamino, he discovered Jango Fett, the bounty hunter that served as the host for the clone army that was being bred for the Republic.
[edit] Kashyyyk Main article: Kashyyyk Kashyyyk (pronounced ka-SHEEK) is the lush, tree-filled home planet of the Wookiees. This planet resembles Earth to some extent, although not as closely as Alderaan or Naboo. Although there are plains and lakes on its surface, most of it is covered by miles-high wroshyr trees, hiding beneath their branches the dark, swampy Shadowlands. Many high mountains lead up into the clouds. The Wookiees have a long history of warfare with the reptilian Trandoshans from nearby Trandosha. They also fought a large ground battle against the Seperatists during the waning days of the Clone Wars. There are also two urban cities on Kashyyyk. [1] [2]
[edit] Katarr Katarr's primary sentient inhabitants are Miraluka, a Force-sensitive race. The planet was sapped of all life by the Sith Lord Darth Nihilus. The only known survivor of this tragedy was Visas Marr, who was taken into bound service by Darth Nihilus. The reason Nihilus drained the Miraluka was for the group of Jedi who were gathering on planet.
[edit] Kegan Kegan was once an isolated and simple world near the Outer Rim territories. The planet is very flat, full of fast plains and fields. The people of Kegan believed in a philosophy known as the General Good, which turned out to be merely a manipulation and brainwashing tool used by the leaders of the world, V-Tan and O-Vieve. They set up a "Learning Circle" to brainwash Keganite children into believing that the rest of the galaxy was evil. However, after four Jedi arrived to claim a Force-sensitive child, Kegan learned of the benefits of joining the Republic. Kegan halted its false philosophy, joined the Republic, and abandoned its isolationist beliefs.
[edit] Kejim Kejim is the location of an abandoned Imperial base, where some intriuging messages concerning the Valley of the Jedi and "Reborn Jedi" emanate, thus starting the plot of Star Wars Jedi Knight II:Jedi Outcast.
[edit] Kelchase Kelchase is the home world of the Kels. Around 20 ABY, many New Jedi Order training Missions took place here. It is a dry barren forest world.
[edit] Kessel Kessel is a prison planet and home to one of the galaxy's largest spice mining operations. It is the only source of the glitterstim spice, an extremely rare and valuable drug used therapeutically and euphorically. Located in the Outer Rim, Kessel was administered by Moruth Doole who ran a prison work camp to harvest Glitterstim. Later, Lando Calrissian obtained control of Kessel and replaced the prison workers with droids.
Kessel is located in the Kessel sector, near Hutt Space. Nearby is The Maw, a cluster of black holes. The planet has a barren landscape of rock and a thin atmosphere. The little air it does have is generated at factories on the surface which slowly bleeds away into space leaving a trail behind the planet. It has a moon called Garrison Moon.
The gravity distortions of the nearby Maw warp space tremendously making it very difficult to navigate a starship through it without a highly skilled pilot. Ships approaching Kessel take long winding courses through the Maw to avoid the danger of being sucked into a gravity well. On a mission where he was pressed for time, Han Solo was able to navigate the shortest course through the Maw of only twelve parsecs. With the boosted speed of the Millennium Falcon, Solo managed to haul a load of spice for the Hutts in record time and earned a reputation as a top-rate smuggler. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
[edit] Khomm Khomm is a planet in the core worlds which is a clone world. All of Khomm's people are genderless and cannot support life. This is due to their race reaching a satisfactory stage in their evolution, at which point they switched to a cloning-based society. They have covered their planet's surface with cloning facilities. As a consequence, none of Khomm's people can be Force sensitive, because Khomm's first people were not. This however didn't prevent some kind of random mutation that allowed Dorsk 81 to be Force sensitive. Khomm would be one of the first planets attacked by Admiral Daala's Victory-class Star Destroyer swarms, after she consolidated power in the Core. [8] [9] [10]
[edit] Kiffex Kiffex is the home planet of the Tonnika Sisters. Kiffex is the twin planet of Kiffu.
[edit] Kiffu Kiffu is the home planet of the Kiffar and Jedi Knight Quinlan Vos. Kiffu is the twin planet of Kiffex. From Kiffu, the planets of Cinnigar and Korriban are visible, but not the planet of Koros Minor because of the seven moons blocking it. Five of the seven moons are visible at a time.
[edit] King's Galquek King's Galquek is a planet in the Chorios Systems, deep within the Meridian Sector. The Loronar Corportion was heavily involved in planetary operations on the planet. [11]
[edit] Kintan Kintan is the homeworld of the Niktos. After a supernova explosion in the system, evolution of the same species on Kintan subdivided into five groups.

[edit] Kiva Kiva is a barren and desolate rocky planet. It was once inhabited by a humanoid species, but the planet's surface was destroyed when Imperial scientist Borborygmus Gog conducted a top-secret experiment over his better judgement. The explosion that ensued killed all of the planet's life. Gog and his partner, Mammon Hoole, barely escaped the destruction. The Empire blamed Hoole for the destruction and he, out of shame, abandoned his first name.
Even though the planet was now barren and uninhabitable, Gog maintained a laboratory on Kiva, where he finished "Project Starscream". Project Starscream was a project like the Darktroopers, in which the goal was to create for the Imperial military a seemingly indestructible creature. The original prototype creature was destroyed by Gog (aided by two orphans, Tash and Zak) when it eventually turned on him.
Kiva was also inhabited by a race of shadow people, formed by Gog's explosion, who sought vengeance for their genocide. They accused Mammon Hoole of the destruction, but discovered the real criminal was Gog, whom they destroyed with a burst of hate. After their revenge was finished, they disappeared, since they were beings of hate, obsessed with justice. After this incident Kiva was left barren, desolate, and completely uninhabited. [14] [15]
[edit] Klatooine Klatooine (pronounced KLAT-too-een) is the homeworld of the Klatooinians, a highly religious humanoid species who are completely bound by a sacred treaty to the will of the Hutts. Very little is known about this world other than it has delicious paddy frogs and almost certainly is located in Hutt Space. [16]
[edit] Koros Major Koros Major is the former name of the planet Empress Teta.
[edit] Koros Minor Koros Minor is a planet in the Empress Teta System, which was formerly known as the Koros System.
[edit] Korriban Main article: Korriban Korriban is the sole planet in the Horuset System. It is a sacred world for the Sith, as several Sith Lords of the forgotten past are buried there, and many other Sith Lords visited their tombs throughout the Order's history. [17]
[edit] Kothlis Kothlis is a terrestrial planet located in the Kothlis system It is a Bothan colony, only notable in Shadows of the Empire for being the point where the plans for the second Death Star were recovered by a group of Rebel commandos and heroes, including Dash Rendar and Lando Calrissian. It also gets a level in the video game Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, titled "Vengeance on Kothlis". In this level, Rogue Squadron reclaims a blockade runner captured by a Star Destroyer. A very similar mission is also portrayed in the game X-wing Alliance. The planet's surface shows surface water and tropical shores; whether this is a running trend is not known.
Kothlis was also the homeworld of New Republic Senator and later Chief of State Borsk Fey'lya. Kothlis is considered second tier to the main Bothan homeworld, Bothawui, making the inhabitants more motivated and achieving than their better off counterparts. [18] [19]
[edit] Kuat Kuat is home to Kuat Drive Yards. The yards, used to build ships for both the Republic and later the Empire, circle the planet for miles.
Kuat is located in Kuat sector, in the Kuat system, near the Deep Core.
During Imperial control, Kuat could only be accessed via three ports within the main Kuat Traffic Zone, which was along the Hydian Way: a passenger port, a freight port, and a Imperial transfer port.
Accessible to the passenger port were the systems of Redrish, Drurish, Ulion, and Kidir.
Accessible to the freight port were the systems of Monadin, Renegg, Venir, and Horthav.

[edit] Langoria Langoria was once home to a thriving alien civilization thought to date back to the glory days of the Jedi, though there is no evidence that this civilization had any contact with Coruscant or the worlds of the Old Republic. What became of this alien civilization is unknown, but all that remains of it are magnificent ruins scattered across the globe, mostly reclaimed by the encroaching wilderness. This alien civilization made use of a strange technology beyond the comprehension of modern science, and though it seems that they did not venture beyond their own planet to explore elsewhere in the galaxy, they were able to accomplish marvelous feats of engineering—carving mountains into the likeness of their leaders or gods, and even somehow altering weather patterns to their liking. It is hypothesized that they abused these abilities, altering their homeworld to such a degree that it was no longer habitable for them.
[edit] Leria Kerlsil Leria Kerlsil is a small and rather pleasant world, and the home of Karia Ver Seryan, one of Lando Calrissian's potential suitors.
[edit] Lok Lok is a desert planet similar to Tatooine and Geonosis. It is not far from Naboo. It appears in the video game Star Wars: Starfighter. There is only one settlement during the time of the Empire.

Malachor V Main article: Malachor V Malachor V is a planet featured in the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords and mentioned in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It is the planet where the conflict of the Mandalorian War concluded.
[edit] Malastare Malastare is referred to several times in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, however, it was never seen on screen. According to the Expanded Universe, Malastare is the homeworld of the quadruped Dug race. The Dugs were oppressed by the three-eyed Gran who first landed on and colonized Malastare in 8,000 BBY. In 7,000 BBY, the two species signed a peace treaty that united the planet. Malastare was also a supporter of the Trade Federation, as their loyalties to sending a commission to Naboo in The Phantom Menace show. There is podracing on Malastare, a pastime referred to by Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace as "very fast, and very dangerous". The planet shows up in the PlayStation 2 and GameCube videogame Star Wars: Bounty Hunter and Nintendo 64 videogame Star Wars: Episode I Racer. In Racer, Malastare's podracing tracks include Malastare 100, Sebulba's Legacy and Dug Derby. [1]
In the Old Republic, Malastare was represented in the Galactic Senate exclusively by Gran politicians such as Aks Moe, Ainlee Teem and Ask Aak.
[edit] Manaan Main article: Manaan Manaan was last seen in the 2003 videogame Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The planet is completely covered in water, except for Ahto City, a large city made by the Selkath, the native species on Manaan. It is the sole planet where kolto, a plant with natural healing properties, is found; kolto harvesting and shipping is the planet's central industry. The Selkath exploit this resource to ensure their safety from both the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, who are unable to attack the planet for fear of damaging the kolto. The planet features an oceanic swoop-racing course, several hotels and cantinas, both Sith and Republic embassies and an underwater research station guarded by a giant mutant shark. It was also the location of a Rakatan Star Map.
[edit] Mandalore Mandalore is the homeworld of the Mandalorian people. During the Galactic Civil War, Mandalore Fenn Shysa and a team of commandos vigilently defended it from any incursions. [2]
[edit] Mantooine Mantooine is a planet in the Atrivis Sector. Its inhabitants were constantly at war with Fest. However, the two planets ultimately found common cause in their conflict with the Empire.
[edit] Mechis III Mechis III appears in the Expanded Universe; in the Old Republic it served as one of the many droid foundries of the Techno Union. During the days of the Empire, it was electronically sliced by the droid bounty hunter IG-88. He then converted the planet into his base for an eventual droid revolution, modifying every droid that left the foundries to be similarly self-aware like him and ready to rebel. Unfortunately, the last version of IG-88 was destroyed with the second Death Star, nipping their rebellion in the bud. [3] [4]
[edit] Melida/Daan Melida/Daan is a temperate world which, twenty years before the Galactic Civil War, had been the home to a bloody civil war of its own. The factions involved were the Melida and the Daan. The two groups could not come up with a name for their planet, so the Jedi archives compromised.
Neither the Melida nor the Daan could remember the origins of their civil war, only their complete hatred for one another. Battle was glorified; children were trained to use weapons from an early age, and giant martyr-filled tombs, called Halls of Evidence, dotted the skyline of the severely damaged capital city of Zehava. Most of the middle-aged people of Melida/Daan were dead from previous battles, and the armies consisted primarily of the elderly.
However, a youth organization called the Young despised the civil war, and took a stand. During a mission to Melida/Daan to rescue the Jedi Knight Tahl, Obi-Wan Kenobi briefly left the Jedi Order to assist the Young in uniting the planet. They succeeded in stopping the civil war, and focused on rebuilding the destroyed world.
[edit] Meridias Meridias is a radioactive wasteland of a planet that was once the home of the Grissmaths, who used neighboring Nam Chorios as a prison facility. The planet was most likely harmed from constant fighting of a nuclear level. Furthermore, it appears that the planet may have been harmed by their own Death Seed plague. Meridian was once the capital of the Meridian Sector, when the Grissmath dynasty ruled the region.
[edit] Metalorn Metalorn is a sun-beaten forest planet. In the upper atmosphere, it is almost impossible to land because the extreme heat will melt a weak ship. However, the lower surface of Metalorn is a lush tropical forest.
[edit] Metellos Metellos is a planet in the Metello System. It has an extremely high population of roughly 900 billion and is mostly urban.
[edit] Mimban Mimban is home to the Coway, Mimbanites, Latter, Thrella, angtars and frozarns and twenty types of animals. It is also known as Circarpous V of the Circarpous Major System. Mimban was the site of the first face-to-face encounter between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. [5] [6]
[edit] Mirial Mirial is the home to the Mirialan species, as well as the Jedi Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee.
[edit] Mon Calamari Main article: Mon Calamari (planet) Mon Calamari is the home planet of the Mon Calamari and the Quarren. It is located in the Tingel Arm which borders the Outer Rim. The planet orbits the large sun of Daca, the main star for the entire system. Mon Calamari is the name given to the planet by humans. The native species both refer to the planet as Dac.
These two species have struggled to claim the planet. The Mon Calamari live comfortably on the surface and below although the Quarren live in the depths of the oceans. The planet looks like a blue marble from space because of its ocean-covered surface. The cities are like those of Kamino and Manaan. The two species finally made a treaty and united Mon Calamari.
During the Clone Wars, the world was attacked twice by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. First, Count Dooku devastated the world with the Dark Reaper. Later, the Quarren Isolation League attempted to overthrow the Mon Calamari Council.
The planet was also attacked by the reborn Emperor Palpatine's deadly World Devastators which attacked its floating cities, shipyards and factories. The planet shows up in the last mission of the Nintendo 64 and PC video game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.
During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the Star Wars galaxy, Mon Calamari served as the capital of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances after the Fall of Coruscant.
The Mon Calamari Cruiser, the main military starship of the Rebel Alliance/New Republic / Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, is built in Mon Calamari. An example of these ships is the great Home One , the flagship of the Rebel Alliance in the Battle of Endor. The planet also shows up in the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series. [7] [8]
[edit] Mon Gazza Mon Gazza is an industrial spice-mining world. Large cranes and bulldozers can be found everywhere. It is home to some podraces, including Mon Gazza Speedway, Spice Mine Run and Zugga Challenge. [9]
[edit] Monor II Monor II was once a storage system for droid armies. But after a few months, the Neimoidian leaders decided to move the armies to Cato Neimoidia to improve security.
[edit] Morphia Morphia is a planet mentioned in passing in The Star Wars Holiday Special. No characteristics of it were given; however, the film elaborated upon the native species, known as "Amorphians", who appear to be a humanoid-type species. They were introduced when Lumpawarrump prepares to build a communication device, which he plans to use to fool the Imperials who have invaded his family's home into going back to their base. To prepare to build this, he watches an instructional video, which features an Amorphian being. The video has a female announcer, who explains that Amorphians' motor abilities regularly malfunction in day to day life, and for him to expect such malfunctions in the video. In the video, the Amorphian frequently loses control of his voluntary actions, and has many involuntary movements, or shuts down completely.
[edit] Mrlsst A university planet located in the Tapani Sector, Mrlsst is covered in schools. The planet features strange plants called greenstalks, which are gigantic bushy columns. It is the site of the imaginary Phantom cloaking device project which was used to gain funds from the Galactic Empire. [10] [11]
[edit] Muunilinst A member world of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Muunilinst is home to the Intergalactic Banking Clan, headed by chairman San Hill. It later becomes the financial center of the Empire, and is known as "Moneylend". The planet shows up in the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon. Muunilist's surface is obliterated by the Yuuzhan Vong.

[edit] Mustafar Main article: Mustafar Mustafar, seen in Episode III, is a young volcanic semi-planet. Mustafar is caught between the gravatic forces of two gas giants on the Outer Rim, causing massive volcanic disturbances, and was home to the last secret Separatist base. On its moon, former friends Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker engaged in a duel, where Anakin suffered severely at the hands of Obi-Wan and lava. The resulting injuries required Anakin's master Palpatine to have much of Anakin's anatomy replaced by mechanical prosthetics. Following this treatment, Anakin became visually recognizable as Darth Vader.
[edit] Mygeeto Mygeeto is an icy, crystalline planet on which Ki-Adi-Mundi led Republic forces during the final stages of the Clone Wars. It is also the place where Ki-Adi-Mundi was killed by his clone troopers who turned on him after receiving Order 66. This world was colonized by the Aqualish in 60,000 BBY.
[edit] Mylok IV Mylok IV is the homeworld to the Nharwaak and Habeen. Working together, they created a new hyperdrive system and sold it to the Empire. The Nharwaak decided to sell the technology to the Rebels, but were destroyed by the Empire before they could do so.
It is a small, gray planet in the Mylok System, in the Outer Rim, resembling our own moon.

[edit] Myrkr Main article: Myrkr Myrkr is a largely forested world, home to the Ysalamiri, creatures which create bubbles which push back the Force. [edit] Mytus VII Mytus is a small, rocky planet with low gravity. It hardly has an atmosphere, floating in the asteroid field of the Mytus System. It was once home to the Corporate Sector Authority prison, commonly known as Star's End. Star's End was destroyed by Han Solo in a jailbreak prior to the Battle of Yavin, when Solo overloaded the power generators of the prison—but since the prison was formed out of molecularly-bonded carbon, instead of blowing up, the prison was launched like a rocket. It was not able to achieve escape velocity, and when it fell back to the surface of Mytus VII, it was rendered unusable. [19] [20]
[edit] Naboo Main article: Naboo Naboo, seen in Episodes I, II, III, and VI, is a small planet located in the Chommell sector. Naboo is the home planet of Queen Amidala and Jar Jar Binks, as well as Senator (later Chancellor and then Emperor) Palpatine. In The Phantom Menace, it was the site of a blockade by the Trade Federation, and the Battle of Naboo between the Federation and the native inhabitants, the Gungans. The inability of the Galactic Senate to deal with the blockade led to Palpatine being elected as the new Supreme Chancellor. Naboo is featured in Attack of the Clones, where ten years after the Battle of Naboo, Padmé and Anakin return to the Theed Palace. The Return of the Jedi DVD edition briefly features Naboo celebrating the defeat of the Empire.

[edit] Nal Hutta Nal Hutta is the current Hutt central world. It is the capital of Hutt Space and is located in the Y'Toub System. Nal Hutta translates into "Glorious Jewel" in Huttese. It was one planet colonized by the Hutts after they left their ancestral home Varl; they used their notorious business acumen to trick the natives out of their planet. Once a pleasant world, Nal Hutta and its moon, Nar Shaddaa, were transformed into gloomy industrial centers that lay in the heart of hutt space. The planet is ruled by a council of the eldest members of the Clans of the Ancients, the oldest Hutt families; precedence on the council is determined by the Hutt clan's various prowess at business and wealth. [edit] Nam Chorios Nam Chorios is a barren world located in the Meridian Sector, on the border between the Mid- and Outer Rim Territories. The capital of the world is Hweg Shul, with a population under ten thousand. Some portions of the world are extremely rocky, while other regions consist of flat plains with crystal formations. The rocky regions are home to gun turrets that prevent the escape of the drochs and prisoners. As of nine years after the Battle of Endor, the two main factions on the planet were the Rationalist followers and the Theran followers. The Loronar Corporation also attempted to plunder the world's crystal formations for use in weaponry and synthdroids.
Over 700 years before the Battle of Endor, the Grissmath Dynasty, originally from the planet Meridias, used Nam Chorios as a prison colony. They brought the insectlike Drochs to the world, which carried the Death Seed plague. This plague terrorized the entire Meridian Sector roughly nine years after the Battle of Endor. However, Nam Chorios quickly recovered from the plague, although the future of the region of the space is not common knowledge. [24] [25]
[edit] Nar Shaddaa Main article: Nar Shaddaa Nar Shaddaa, also known as "Smugglers Moon", is the moon that orbits Nal Hutta. It is covered in kilometer-high buildings like Coruscant.
Jedi Master Eeth Koth is a well-known Jedi from Nar Shaddaa.
In Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Nar Shaddaa is where the Exile meets the Exchange leader G0T0 and lost Jedi Master Zez-Kai Ell.
Nar Shaddaa shows up in the PC Game Star Wars: Dark Forces, as well as both of its sequels, Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II and Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

[edit] Necropolis Necropolis is a world most famous for its large cemetery. It has an interesting history, involving a witch who legendarily could bring the dead back to life. The planet was also the site where wanted scientist Dr. Evazan was experimenting with the reanimation of dead tissue. Evazan was later killed by Boba Fett and his research was lost forever.
[edit] Neimoidia Neimoidia is the homeworld to the Neimoidians. The Trade Federation was originally based on Neimoidia before the Battle of Naboo, but after the Naboo conflict (including the Trade Federation's loss), the Trade Federation senator, Lott Dodd, was ordered to tell Viceroy Nute Gunray to disband the Trade Federation army. Fearing an attack from the Republic if they would not comply, the Trade Federation fled Neimoidia for a colony world, Cato Neimoidia, to continue to develop the Trade Federation's vast battle droid army well into the Clone Wars.
[edit] Nelvaan Nelvaan is the home of the Nelvaanians and home to a Techno Union laboratory that experimented on the warriors of the Nelvaanian tribes, though the base was destroyed by Anakin Skywalker and the mutated Nelvaan warriors.
The planet gets its name from Nelvana, the animation company that made the Ewoks and Droids cartoons.

[edit] New Alderaan With Alderaan destroyed, Princess Leia led the Alderaanian survivors to New Alderaan, which was founded after the Galactic Civil War. New Alderaan is located in the Outer Rim region of the galaxy and is a temperate green planet, which is kept in great secrecy, although the reborn Emperor Palpatine and Warlord Zsinj both managed to find it.
The Royal House of Alderaan, in the person of Leia Organa-Solo and her children, continue to hold sovereignty of both New Alderaan and the Alderaan systems. The government on New Alderaan administers the former Alderaan system.
[edit] New Apsolon New Apsolon is a temperate, highly populated world that was once under the control of a dictatorship. The Civilized, or Absolutes/Nobles, had complete control over the lesser class, the Workers. The Workers staged a revolution against the Civilized, a scene similar to that of the Russian Revolution. However, since the destruction of the dictatorship, the Civilized and Workers have been locked in tension. Murder and deception are commonplace.
The Jedi Tahl was sent with Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi on a mission to rescue two young Apsolon leaders after the murder of their father. The mission resulted in the death of Tahl, and Qui-Gon's vengeance and investigation of the corruption on New Apsolon. Even after the mission's success, New Apsolon remained in unrest. Thankfully, the government pressed on, hoping to fuse the gap between the Absolutes and Workers. However, New Apsolon's current status remains unknown.
[edit] New Bornalex New Bornalex was the site of a significant battle fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Republic forces on the planet were led by Clone Marshal Commander Bacara.
[edit] New Plympto New Plympto was a temperate terrestrial world in the Core Worlds region. Before the Yuuzhan Vong took control of the planet, it had a population of about fifteen million living on its surface. When the Vong attacked, they used a biological weapon on New Plympto, killing all living things on its surface. The planet was rendered uninhabitable.
[edit] Nim Drovis Nim Drovis is a rainy planet in the Meridian sector, home to a New Republic facility. [31]
[edit] Nirauan Nirauan is a remote planet, in the far end of the known galaxy in Gradilis sector, right on the boundary between Wild Space and the Unknown Regions. It is also located near Chiss Space. It has breathable atmosphere, with a Chiss Outpost on the surface. The Hand of Thrawn was located in the Outpost, as well. However, fifteen years after the Battle of Endor, Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker defeated the Hand and escaped the Outpost after encounters with the base commanders.
[edit] Nkllon Lando Calrissian operated a mining operation on the super-hot world of Nkllon; the operation was destroyed when Grand Admiral Thrawn attacked, stealing over half the mining machines and disabling the refinery. Because it orbits so close to its star, Nkllon's day side experiences temperatures high enough to melt durasteel, and space traffic must slave sublight engines to shieldships designed to survive such extremes. [edit] Nubia Nubia is located on the outer edge of the Core Worlds. The Nubians developed parts for star ships, including the hyperdrive for the the Queen's royal Naboo cruiser in The Phantom Menace.
The Nubian Design Collective is a loose grouping of designers and engineers who colonized the planet roughly 300 years before the Battle of Naboo. The collective is comprised of a number of spacefaring species that accept small contracts for wealthy clients. Nubian technology was used all throughout the galaxy and was readily available on most Republic worlds. When the Empire rose to power, the collective went underground to keep experimental designs away from Imperial hands. Shortly after the Battle of Endor, the collective resurfaced with a completely new catalog. Among the collective's products are the Scurrg H-6 Bomber and J-Type Diplomatic Barge.

Obroa-Skai Obroa-Skai is the home of the oldest and most extensive neutral knowledge archive in the galaxy. Grand Admiral Thrawn used the Obroa-Skai database to find information vital to his plot. It was captured by the Yuuzhan Vong relatively early in their invasion, and was used to further their knowledge of the Star Wars galaxy. [1] [2]
[edit] Odos Odos is a backwater planet in the Meridian Sector, located near the Spangled Veil Nebula and Exodo II. [3]
[edit] Ojom Ojom, located in the Outer Rim, is a frigid ocean world speckled with enormous glaciers that slowly move across the planet's surface. Each glacier supports a small community of the semi-humanoid Besalisks. Ojom has many space stations orbiting it, most of them larger than the Besalisk glaciers. These stations fill the role of Ojom's spaceports, and are more hospitable than the planet itself.

Like many other fringe worlds, the Onderonians have a distrust of aliens. Onderon's largest moon is Dxun which largely jungle and mountain terrain. Onderon had a power struggle within the royal family five years after the Jedi Civil War, which was aided by the Jedi Exile. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]
[edit] Oovo IV The planet of Oovo IV hosts many podracing events due to its low gravity. It is also the site of an asteroid prison from which Jango Fett and Zam Wesell both attempted to recover the smuggler Bendix Fust. Fett then acquired a Firespray patrol craft, that would later become his Slave I.The planet shows up in the Playstation 2 videogame Star Wars: Bounty Hunter and in the Nintendo 64 videogame Star Wars: Episode I Racer. Podrace tracks include Vengeance, Executioner and The Gauntlet. [11]
[edit] Ophideraan Ophideraan is the planet once ruled by the Serpent Masters, who enslaved people until Luke Skywalker freed them. This was the time in between Star Wars Episodes IV and V. Also, Tanith Shire is a native to Ophideraan that met Luke in the shipyards of Fondor.

[edit] Ord Ibanna Ord Ibanna is a gas giant like Bespin planet located in the Outer Rim. It is home to the Gandalorian prostitute training camp, as featured in the Dark Empire series. It was at one time home to several podraces, including Scrapper's Run, Dethro's Revenge and Abyss. [12] Ord Ibanna looks a lot like Cloud City.
[edit] Ord Mantell Ord Mantell is a scrap heap planet on the Outer Rim. It is home to mercenaries, exiles, murderers, smugglers and all other sorts of illegal dealers. The planet is first mentioned (erroneously as Ord Mandell) in The Empire Strikes Back, depicted in an audio story entitled Rebel Mission to Ord Mantell, and seen in the video games Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire on the Nintendo 64 game system and Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy on the PC. Ord Mantell has a mostly human population with Talz, Ithorians, Rodians, and Arcona representing it as well.
Ord Mantell was founded in the year 12,000 BBY as an Old Republic base. The Jedi Knight Pablo-Jill brought peace to this world until Palpatine and the Galactic Empire took over. Once the Empire was defeated, the planet had dozens of run-ins with bounty hunters including Skorr, Dengar, Bossk, and Boba Fett. Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, and other major Rebel heroes had connections to Ord Mantell. In the story Rebel Mission to Ord Mantell (which takes place shortly before the events in The Empire Strikes Back), Solo confronts a bounty hunter named Cypher, who tries to capture Solo for delivery to Jabba the Hutt. In the year 9 ABY, the New Republic added Ord Mantell to its territory. The following year Grand Admiral Thrawn attacked the planet to keep the New Republic off balance. The planet also plays host to a large race known as the Blockade Runners Derby. Han Solo himself is a three-time winner of the race.
The prefix "Ord" refers to "Ordinance Regional Depot". "Ords" are storage and disposal facilities for outdated weapons and military equipment used during the Old Republic era. Some of these facilities are also used by the Empire. [13] [14] [15]

[edit] Orinackra The Rebel spy Crix Madine was held on Orinackra for a time in an Imperial detention facility. In Star Wars: Dark Forces, he was rescued by Kyle Katarn, after which Madine could provide more information on the Dark Trooper project.

[edit] Ossus Ossus was once a learning ground for the Jedi Order, and was the location of a vast museum of Jedi artifacts and ancient lore. During the Great Sith War, Sith Lord Exar Kun caused a star in the nearby Cron Cluster to go supernova, the shockwave from which would have terrible effects on the planet. The Jedi rescued as many artifacts as they could, and had to leave the rest behind. The Neti Master Ood Bnar stood over a cache of lightsabers and turned himself into his giant tree form, surviving the shockwave and protecting his charge for over 4,000 years, until he awakened to fight Executor Sedriss during the reign of the reborn Emperor. [edit] Palanhi Palahi was colonized by humans in 4,000 BBY. Forty years later they built large cities to cover the vast grasslands. The wildlife are a type of grassland bantha, thrantas, krahbus and vesps.
[edit] Panna Panna is a water planet introduced in the animated segment of The Star Wars Holiday Special. Its surface has an orange hue to it, and it apparently has at least one major city established. The city was known to have been occupied by the empire, as evidenced in The Holiday Special. Troops marched through the city, keeping a watch. In The Holiday Special, Boba Fett makes a trip to the city to get a serum to cure a sleeping virus contracted by Han Solo and Luke Skywalker from a talisman Han was searching for. It was in this city that Boba first revealed his true allegiance, when he made contact with Darth Vader via viewscreen, and updated him on his progress in attempting to capture the rebels.
[edit] Pantolomin Pantolomin is the beautiful water world of the aquatic Lomin species. It is best known for the undersea excursions of the Coral Vanda, a massive submarine filled with casinos, resorts, and luxury hotels that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the galaxy. Five years after the Battle of Endor, Grand Admiral Thrawn sent forces there to seize the Coral Vanda and locate the elusive Captain Hoffner, who knew the secret location of the Katana Fleet. [19]
[edit] Pedducis Chorios Pedducis Chorios is located in the Chorios Systems of the Meridian Sector. Admiral Daala retreated to the world nine years after the Battle of Endor. In addition, the planet is a haven for independent smugglers and businessmen. [20]
[edit] Peragus II Main article: Peragus II Peragus II is a location featured in the videogame Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. When one talks of Peragus, he most likely refers to the Peragus Mining Colony located on an asteroid that orbits the planet.
Peragus II's main export was fuel until a horrible accident that left a big crater in the planet's surface. Peragus still mines fuel, not from the planet, but from the asteroid belt that the accident on the main planet spawned.
[edit] Phindar Phindar is a large planet with a high population, close to the planet of Gala. The capital of Phindar is the dense, yet simplistic city of Laressa. It is the home of the Phindian race, as well as adavnced assasin droid technology. The world is a haven for criminal organizations like the Syndicat, which has tight control over the rich planet. At one time, Gala royalty had connections to Phindar and the Syndicat.
[edit] Polis Massa Polis Massa, seen in Episode III, is an asteroid used as an emergency hideout by Republic loyalists Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Bail Organa, Padmé Amidala Skywalker, and others at the end of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It is on this asteroid that Padmé gives birth to Luke and Leia, and then dies.
While on the asteroid, several important things are decided: Luke will live with Owen and Beru Lars on Tatooine, watched over by Kenobi, and Leia will be raised with Bail Organa on Alderaan, so that the Sith will not sense their presence.
While Yoda is meditating on the asteroid, he is contacted by the spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn through the Force. Yoda says he failed to properly train the Jedi. Qui-Gon Jinn tells Yoda of a power to retain one's identity through the Force after death. With this, Yoda becomes Qui-Gon Jinn's apprentice.
Shortly after The Imperial War, Polis Massa became a base for the Rebel Alliance, which was attacked by the 501st Legion, thinking the Death Star plans were there.
[edit] Praesitlyn Praesitlyn is a planet in Sluis Sector. It is also a major hub for communication between sectors.
[edit] Pria Pria is the homeworld of the Priapulins, where the Intergalactic Communications Center stood during the late years of the Old Republic, and where Anakin Skywalker's Jedi test as commander of a fleet against a Separatist army was held.
[edit] Pzob Pzob is an Outer Rim planet in the remote and uncharted K749 System. It is covered in thick heavy forests and swamps. It was colonized by nomadic Gamorreans decades prior to the formation of the Empire. Eighteen years after the Battle of Yavin, a secret Imperial base was established there as a supply station for the Eye of Palpatine and staffed by forty-five stormtroopers. All but one trooper had been killed by skirmishes with the hostile Gamorreans as they waited for the ship that would never arrive. [21]

Ragoon 6 A dangerous, yet lush world, Ragoon 6 was the location of a Jedi training site. The vicious malia beasts roamed the forests and mountains of the planet; they were perfect game for Jedi trainees. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn trained on the world just prior to their New Apsolon assignment.
[edit] Ralltiir Ralltiir was the site of a Rebel uprising just prior to the events of Star Wars IV: A New Hope. Princess Leia and her starship, the Tantive IV of Alderaan, made a stop there and discovered that the Empire was planning the construction of the Death Star. Subsequently the Tantive IV and her crew made a jump to the Toprawa system where they received a transmission of the space station's design plans ultimately used by Luke Skywalker to destroy it. [1]
Ralltiir is chronicled in the Star Wars Radio Drama by Brian Daley.
[edit] Randa Randa was once the location of a Rebel base for a short time during the second Kessel Run. The only time it was featured was in the Second Kessel Run comic.
The terrain is cliffs and short mountains, with small dry forests on the bottom.
[edit] Rattatak A craggy red world, Rattatak was located so far out in the Outer Rim that the Republic had no knowledge of it. As a result, it was an lawless world ruled by brutal warlords who constantly battle for domination. Death and destruction were a daily occurrence in the civil wars until Asajj Ventress stopped the bloodshed. During the Clone Wars, after the Battle of Jabiim, Obi-Wan Kenobi was transported to the planet by Asajj for interrogation. Kenobi would later escape.
[edit] Raxus Prime Raxus Prime is packed with toxic debris and has a poisonous surface littered with the hulls of abandoned and wrecked ships. It is where Count Dooku found the Force Harvester. There are many ancient secrets hidden in this planet. Three missions in the videogame Star Wars: The Clone Wars take place on Raxus Prime. It is also the birthplace of the Confederacy of Independent Systems formed by Count Dooku about two years before the Clone Wars. As a child, Boba Fett had an adventure here, shortly before the Clone Wars battle.

[edit] Rhen Var Rhen Var has a frozen surface similar to that of Hoth, being covered with snow and ice. Ancient Jedi monuments are buried beneath the surface of Rhen Var. Rhen Var was once a fertile paradise filled with vegetation and wild life. Millions of years ago, an atmospheric cataclysm turned it into an icy hibernal surface. During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems, or the Separatist army, seized Rhen Var with an army so big that the Republic base had to evacuate the planet. Obi-Wan Kenobi informed the Jedi Council about the seizure of the planet. After the liberation of Kashyyyk Moon, the Galactic Republic retook Rhen Var. After The Great Sith War (4,000 BBY), Ulic Qel-Droma sought refuge on Rhen Var, and he is buried there. Along with the tomb of Ulic Qel-Droma, there are great chambers of ancient texts, some that pre-date the Old Republic and the Jedi Order. In one or more of these chambers is believed to be a superweapon built by an ancient race. The weapon is rumoured to have the power to wipe out all life in the galaxy and wash it clean.
[edit] Rephlan Rephlan is a small planet in the Medisious Sector that is used for the rejuvination of Wookiee combat soldiers. The planet is known to grow many medicinal drugs that are useful in replinishing health. Stormtroopers who leave the Imperial army without permission often go here to find exile.
[edit] Rhinnal Rhinnal is a Core World in the Darpa Sector that has recently recovered from an ice age. The frigid world operated under the authority of the sector government housed on the nearby planet Esseles, until the Empire arose and seized control of the entire region. The Empire quickly removed the Esseles appointed leader and seated Imperial Governor Phadreas Kole. Rhinnal is best known for wondrous advancements in medicine, and for producing some of the best skilled physicians in the galaxy. The capital city of Rhire contains one of the last Jedi chapter houses where the sick could be healed through the meditation of Jedi Healers.
[edit] Rhommomool Rhommomool is a water planet and aquatic nature preserve.
[edit] Riflor Riflor is a planet in the trinary star system of Riflorii. It has the tendency to change its gravitational pull.
[edit] Rishi Rishi is a tropical planet in the Rishi System. This planet is about twelve parsecs from the Rishi Maze. The planet is inhabited by colonists who have built congested cities and towns in the deep winding valleys, while the native avian Rishi dwell in the high mountainsides around them. Talon Karrde and Mara Jade used Rishi as a temporary hideout following their abandoned smuggling operations on Mykyr. [2]
[edit] Roche Roche is actually a dense asteroid field where the insectoid Verpine have made their home. The Verpine are best known as the designers and producers of the B-wing starfighter used by the Rebel Alliance during the Battle of Endor. Although devoid of any habitable planets, the Roche system is teeming with space-born silicon-based lifeforms and is believed to be the system where both the parasitic mynoks and the "ship-eating" space slugs originated.
[edit] Rodia Rodia is the homeworld to the Rodians and the Rodian bounty hunter Greedo. Around 1 BBY, the Gladiators of Rodia raided towns, and fought for land. As this started, Greedo escaped to Tatooine using an escape pod. In 2 ABY, two Rodians gathered ten to sixteen fellow Rodians for an army against the gladiators.
Colonization from the Hutt races brought the planet under control. Much of the planet became stripped of its natural resources and polluted to support the Hutts' way of life. Huttese became the official language and was adopted by the new Rodian generation. Thirty-six years later the Hutts were overthrown and killed.
Rodians who work in the service of the Hutts are often rewarded and have better opportunities than others on Rodia. [3] [4]
During the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, Rodia was occupied, along with many other nearby planets. Unlike many other species, however, the Rodians simply retreated into their forests and used guerrilla warfare tactics to fight the Vong.
[edit] Roon Roon is home to humans, Twi'leks, Duros, Sullustans, and Koboks. Gaff was born on Roon. Roon has a fixed orbit (one side is permanently light and the other is permanently dark). The dark side is mainly ocean and there are many storms and whirlpools. [5]

[edit] Rothana Rothana is a planet near the edge of Wild Space. Rothana Heavy Engineering is headquartered here.
[edit] Ruusan Ruusan is where the (Battle of Ruusan) occurred in 1,000 BBY. Ruusan was a temperate, pleasant world, inhabited by both humans and a strange sentient species known as Bouncers.
During the battle, between the Jedi under Lord Hoth, and the Sith under Lord Kaan, much of the planet's surface, including several cities, were destroyed.
After the battle had ended, a Jedi Knight named Johun Othone constructed a grand memorial to the fallen warriors called the Valley of the Jedi.It was said to harbour the spirits of the soldiers who fell. Despite this, the world was quickly forgotten, as the Galactic Republic turned inwards.
By the time of the Empire's reign, Ruusan was forgotten and used by independent spacers and merchants as a base of operations.
However, the Valley of the Jedi was rediscovered by Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors. When Kyle decided to take up his old title as Jedi Knight, he went to the Valley of the Jedi to regain his powers. This act led two Dark Jedi to discover the valley, and enfused an army of Imperial troops with Force Powers. Luckily, the troops that weren't captured or killed by trained Jedi blew up when their flagship blew up.
[edit] Ryloth Ryloth is the home planet of the race of the Twi'leks. Because of the nature of Ryloth's orbit around its primary, one side of the planet always faces its star. This side is called the Brightlands, and the other side is called the Nightlands. This results in the temperature on the day side being burning desert, and the night side the temperature is freezing cold. There is a habitable band around the planet where the day and night sides of the planet meet. The Twi'lek people live in a series of urban cities that are located in the habitable band of the planet. It has four continents and two oceans. The continents are Haxiang, Dengdian, Lienru and Tienhu; the oceans are the North Ocean and the South Ocean.
Ryloth features a wide variety of landscapes, including ice caps, urban cities, forests and grasslands. The ice caps are inhabited by taun-tauns, and the forests are populated with ro-roos, moufs, phorples, krevols, billzem bugs, talcaris, scoolbs, tilacs, and froocs.
In the years before the fall of the Republic, Ryloth was represented by Senator Orn Free Taa. Twi'leks have integrated windmills and turbines to power their homes and industries carved into the mountains. Ryloth was also the source of much ryll. After the Galactic Empire formed, Jabba the Hutt enslaved many female Twi'leks as dancers.
Ryloth is the homeworld of Twi'leks Aayla Secura, Bib Fortuna, Mazer Rackus, Ayy Vida, Lyn Me, Sebulba's lovely masseuses Ann and Tan Gella, and presumably Mission Vao. [6] [7] [8] [9]
[edit] Ryyk Ryyk was the homeworld of the Neti. It was destroyed by a supernova a little bit before the Ancient Sith War nearly 4000 BBY killing all but one Neti, a Jedi Master known as Ood Bnar. Bnar only survived because he was on Ossus teaching Padawan learners.

[edit] Sacorria Sacorria is a planet in the Sacorrian System, located on the fringe of the Corellian Sector. The planet is a peaceful one, yet is secretive. It is ruled by the Triad, a council of three members: a human, a Selonian, and a Drall. Sacorria has one moon, Sarcophagus, where the dead are buried. Tendra Risant, one of Lando Calrissian's suitors, is a native of Sacorria. [10]

Selonia has relatively large oceans compared to other planets in the Corellian system. One notable geological feature on Selonia is the Cloudland Peaks.
Under the surface of Selonia is a planetary repulsor, which was constructed many millennia ago by unknown beings who used it to place the planet into its current orbit around the star Corell. [11] [12] [13] [14]

Chewbacca died during the Yuuzhan Vong crisis when its smaller moon was drawn to the surface of the planet by a Yuuzhon Vong dovin basal. He died saving Anakin Solo from the moon by throwing him into the Millennium Falcon a split second before the moon impacted with the surface. [15]

Most people lived in the Sim-First colony, including pirates, black market dealers, and pilots. Sim-Fist itself was a labyrinth of a town with patchwork durasteel buildings, warehouses, and walkways. Zan Arbor and Ona Nobis brought Qui-Gon Jinn to the planet for Force research.

Wat Tambor, the head of the Techno Union, is a Skakoan, and thus wears the special lifesuit as seen in Attack of the Clones and in Revenge of the Sith.

Five years after the Battle of Endor, the shipyards here were attacked by Grand Admiral Thrawn with his mole miners, stolen from Lando Calrissian's Nkllon mining operation. Through the use of Lando's knowledge of the mole miners' code, the New Republic was able to prevent Thrawn's theft of several star cruisers and frigates. [16]

[edit] Socorro Socorro is hot desert world best known for its unique pitch black sand that covers most of the planet. Socorro is a haven for gangsters and pirates that attack nearby shipping lanes. It is featured in the original West End Games Star Wars: The Role-Playing Game adventure, "The Black Sands of Socorro".

[edit] Sorrus Sorrus is a rocky, desert planet home to the bounty hunter Ona Nobis. In order to maintain an even distribution of limited water supply, the Sorrusians dug a massive maze of irrigation canals. Civilization was varied on the world: some cities, like Yinn La Hi, were known for high tech medical facilities, while, in the Arra desert region, there were also primitive Sorrusian clans. Ona Nobis was from one such clan.
[edit] Subterrel Subterrel is a planet that is known for its mining. In Attack of the Clones, Dexter Jettster proclaimed to Obi-Wan Kenobi that he last saw a Kamino saber dart in a mine of Subterrel. The name "Subterrel" most likely stems from the root word "subterranean", giving a clue to how the planet may be inhabited. The planet is an underground colony. The Kaminoans created clones to mine the depths of Subterral, which is how the Kaminoan dart was found there. Subterrel is close to Polis Massa, as seen in Revenge of the Sith, and the inhabitants of both have regular dealings.
[edit] Sullust The surface of Sullust is volcanic and the atmosphere is made up of toxic gases, forcing the native Sullustan inhabitants to live in subterranean cities. The planet is the headquarters of the galaxy-spanning SoroSuub corporation.
The planet was briefly mentioned on-screen when Darth Vader asked the Emperor "What of the reports of the Rebel Fleet massing near Sullust?" in Return of the Jedi. Sullust has also been featured in the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron videogame, and Kyle Katarn, the hero from the Star Wars: Dark Forces and Star Wars: Jedi Knight series of videogames hails from Sulon, one of Sullust's moons. Nien Nunb, Lando Calrissian's copilot during the Battle of Endor was a Sullustan.

Taanab It was at Taanab that Lando Calrissian demonstrated not only his ability lead but also his knack for devising winning tactics. Lando managed to destroy the attacking space pirates, a feat which later led him to be placed in command of the Rebel starfighter groups during the Battle of Endor. [1]
Taanab was the homeworld of Rogue Squadron pilot Wes Janson.
[edit] Talay Talay is a planet under the Rebel Alliance, and position of the Tak base. It was the first target of the Dark Trooper project. The base was later overtaken by Imperials, and Kyle Katarn was sent to explore. There he discovered a prototype Dark Trooper weapon, which led him to investigate further.

[edit] Taris Main article: Taris Taris is the first planet visited by the player of the 2003 videogame Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic after he escapes from a battleship known as the Endar Spire, which comes under attack from Sith forces. There is a gang war in the Lower City and the Undercity is populated by monsters called rakghouls.
Situated on a hyperspace transport hub, Taris was once an important galactic presence but at the time of the game is decaying rapidly. One sprawling city covers the entirety of the planet surface. However, in most images there appears to be a long strip on the planet. This is believed to be due to an ocean.
The less affluent citizens live underground, in the Undercity or Lower City. After the player rescues the Jedi Bastila, who has been taken prisoner by lower city gangs, the group flees the planet in the Ebon Hawk, a ship stolen from a local crime boss named Davik. Shortly afterward, Taris is destroyed by the Sith forces under the command of the Dark Lord Malak. Unlike Alderaan, the planet itself survives intact although its surface is completely devastated by orbital bombardment.
[edit] Taspir III Taspir was a hot lava-covered planet shown in the videogame Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. About Taspir III, Jedi Master Kyle Katarn said with sarcasm: "It's an Imperial controlled planet, a real paradise." Most of the planet was covered in yellow haze, and the Imperial Remnant built a facility there. It was in the factory that Jedi Knight Jaden Korr searched for his old friend Rosh Penin, who had sent a distress signal. Jaden eventually found Rosh. He lost control of himself; hecouldn't bring himself to trust Rosh because his old friend had turned to the Dark Side and joined the Disciples of Ragnos. Rosh begged for mercy, saying "Hey, Jaden, we're friends remember?" Then the player of the game must decide if Jaden goes to the Dark Side and kills Rosh, or stays Light and believes him. Regardless of the choice, Jaden faces and kills the red Twi'lek Alora,Tavion's apprentice. The choice affects the last two missions on Korriban, after Taspir.
[edit] Tatooine Main article: Tatooine Tatooine (TAT-too-een), seen in all Episodes apart from Episode V, is the home planet of the Skywalker family and the setting for much of the action in the saga's films (as well as several of the novels and other pieces of written fiction). The planet is not actually named in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope; according to Lucas he named it retrospectively after the movie's desert location, Tataouine (French spelling) in Tunisia. Tatooine's indigenous inhabitants are the pygmy and intelligent Jawas and the nomadic Tusken Raiders.
Tatooine is a desert world in a binary star system, inhabited by poor locals who mostly farm moisture for a living. The planet has been the site of repeated and failed attempts at colonization. During the prequel era, it was ruled for a long period by the Hutts, being beyond the reach of the Galactic Republic. After the fall of the Republic, the Galactic Empire established a token presence on Tatooine, but the crime lord Gardulla the Hutt still retained de facto control of the planet.
Tatooine is also home to much crime and activities that go along with it. This planet has many bars and places to gamble on things. One of the main attractions for gambling is podracing, a sport in which many competitors race extremely fast in hovercraft-type vehicles. Podrace tracks here include the Boonta Training Course and the Boonta Eve Classic. These races involve pilots piloting their pods through twisty canyons, dark caves, rock arches, mushroom rocks and cratered valleys etc. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]
[edit] Telos Main article: Telos (Star Wars) Telos is shown in the Lucasarts videogame Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Telos was mentioned in the first game as the homeworld of character Carth Onasi, which he fled after it was bombed by the Sith fleet. During the game, restoration efforts are underway to help return the planet to what it was before being destroyed.
Thousands of years later, Telos has recovered and become a popular destination for intergalactic tourists. About twelve years before the Battle of Naboo, the former Padawan Xanatos turned the planet upside down in his pursuit for personal power. Only the intervention of Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi thwarted Xanatos' plans, and helped return the planet to its rightful government.
[edit] Telti Telti is an ice planet with large buildings that stick up out of the ground. The buildings are homes for the native species. The natives are called P'wecks and Tiss'shars. P'wecks are a green furred species with red feathers coming out of their heads. Tiss'shars are a Tyrannosaurus Rex-like species. [12]
[edit] Thisspias Thisspias is the homeworld of the Thisspiasians. Master Oppo Rancisis comes from Thisspias.
[edit] Thule Main article: Thule (Star Wars) Thule is a semi-arid planet known for its rich savannas. Continually bombarded by lightning storms, Thule was a hidden Sith stronghold. The rocky outcroppings which broke the plains were charred black from being hit by lightning. This charred rock later served as a form of sustenance for unusual, bioluminescent moss that made the rocks glow with an eerie light.
Ulic Qel-Droma fought on Thule during The Great Sith War, during which the Dark Reaper was buried on the world. Thousands of years later, Count Dooku went to Thule to revive the Dark Reaper to attempt to destroy the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. A planetary shield enveloped the Thule, projected by the small moon Sivvi orbiting it.
The Battle of Thule is the last battle featured in the video game Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The battle was divided into four phases. At phase one, Anakin Skywalker and his strike force took out the planetary shield on the Thule Moon. At phase two, Obi-Wan Kenobi used the Low Altitude Assault Infantry Gunship to perform an aerial attack on significant strategic locations across planet Thule and destroyed the Communications Installation in order to cripple the Separatists' communications. At phase three, Mace Windu commanded the ground forces around Thule's capital city Kessia. Upon his arrival to Kessia, Cydon Prax destroyed Mace Windu's TX-150 Saber-class fighter tank. Mace Windu had to travel on foot to open the gates to the Sith Temple. At the final phase, Anakin Skywalker and his strike force went through the Sith Temple, defeated Cydon Prax and then re-defeated the Dark Reaper.
[edit] Thyferra Thyferra is a hot, humid planet located in the Mid Rim Polith system. Almost all of the galaxy's bacta is produced here. This is the homeworld of the Vratix race who discovered how to create the bacta from the alazhi and kavam plants. The Vratix shared the secret of bacta production to their human neighbors, the result of which is that Thyferra is almost completely controlled by two human-run corporations: Zaltin and Xucphra. These two corporations were chosen by Emperor Palpatine to supply the Empire's bacta, thus eliminating any real competition in the bacta market.
From Thyferra the planets of Korriban and List of Star Wars planets (C-D)#Cinnigar are seen but the planet of Koros Minor is not seen. The reason for this is that the planet of Koros Minor is not seen because of the sevent moons blocking it. Together the three planets form a non-equilateral triangle.
The planet was featured in the Nintendo 64 videogame Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. In the game, Grand Moff Kohl Seerdon launched an invasion of the planet to prevent bacta from reaching the Rebel Alliance, starting the Battle of Thyferra. Under command of Luke Skywalker, Rogue Squadron liberated the planet and Skywalker killed Seerdon as he fought in his modified Shuttle.
Shortly after the fall of Coruscant, the Director of Imperial Intelligence, Ysanne Isard, fled to Thyferra with two Imperator-class Star Destroyers, one Victory-class Star Destroyer, and the Super Star Destroyer Lusankya. After six months, the new Rogue Squadron attacked and systematically destroyed the Imperial fleet and ended the illegal control of the planet. After the battle, a joint coalition government, including humans and the Vratix was set up on Thyferra, and the New Republic took over control of the Lusankya. [13] [14] [15] [16]

[edit] Tirahnn Tirahnn is a terrestrial planet in the Tirahnn System.
[edit] Toola Toola is a cold world that is also home to the Whiphid. Clone Commander Keller led an Imperial task force to root out Jedi hiding on Toola in the early days of the New Order. Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight, found Jedi artifacts left behind by a Master of the Old Jedi Order in a cave there—possibly the work of Keller's division, although Skywalker observed lightsaber slashes in the Jedi's empty robes that he believed must have been the handiwork of his father, Darth Vader. [17]
[edit] Toprawa Toprawa was the site of a suicidal infiltration mission by the Rebel Alliance, aimed at stealing and transmitting the plans to the first Death Star. Led by Bria Tharen, a former lover of Han Solo, the Red Hand Squadron infiltrated the Imperial facility on the surface and took control long enough to transmit the stolen plans to Princess Leia's Corellian Blockade Runner, the Tantive IV. After the transmission was received, the Tantive IV made a hyperspace jump to Tatooine but was followed and captured by the Star Destroyer Devastator in the opening minutes of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Bria Tharen's team held out to complete their mission but were eventually overrun by brute force. Red Hand Squadron was utterly wiped out in the Imperial counterattack.
After the Empire secured the facility, and after the disaster at Yavin (for which Darth Vader lost his hand), the Empire cast about for a suitable way to express its anger. Yavin was devoid of human life, the Rebels elusive as ever, so they eventually decided to make an example of Toprawa, for its role in obtaining for the Rebels the fatal technical readout of the Death Star. Toprawa was leveled to the ground, its advanced (for a colony) civilization reduced to stone age level. The planet was occupied by multiple legions, and placed under a permanent blockade. Stormtroopers would parade vehicles full of food through the street, tossing the rubbish only to those Toprawans whose groveling and self-abasements amused them or seemed most sincere. Further twisting the dagger, the Imperial troops lived lives of stunning leisure and pleasure amidst the squalor, and made sure the natives knew full well what they were missing.
Before and after the Battle of Endor, the planet came under the control of the Imperial Governor Faylon Bataar. Bataar imposed strict laws limiting the freedoms of Toprawans and invited Imperial families to reside in newly built luxurious accommodations. After numerous attempts from the Rebels to seize the planet, all of them were a failure because Bataar had amassed a large garrison of many troops and vehicles, although Bataar relied on the main Imperial army and navy. Once they were defeated and Coruscant was taken, Toprawa was on its own.
Toprawa remained unconquered for many years, until Bataar was assasinated by Lord Paulus of Pedo, who stole his fortune and escaped to the solitary planet Zonama Sekot. The Toprawa garrison therefore became weak and was finally liberated by the New Republic soon after. [18]
[edit] Toydaria Toydaria is a muddy world located in Hutt Space, and home to the Force-resistant Toydarians.
[edit] Tralus Tralus is one of the two planets located in the Corellian system that orbit Centerpoint Station. Talus is the other planet. [19] [20] [21] [22]
[edit] Trandosha Trandosha is home to the humanoid reptilian Trandoshans, a race that helped the Empire enslave the Wookiees who inhabited the neighboring planet of Kashyyyk. Bossk, a bounty hunter from The Empire Strikes Back, is a native of Trandosha.
[edit] Umbara Umbara is a planet within the dark reaches of the Ghost Nebula. Chancellor Palpatine's Staff Aide, Sly Moore, is an Umbaran from this planet.
[edit] Unknown World The Unknown World is the unnamed homeworld of the Rakatans, and is featured in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The Infinite Empire ended here with the final battles of the rebellion. The two remaining tribes of Rakatans lived underground here for thousands of years before their discovery by Revan. During the events of Knights of the Old Republic, the Star Forge was in orbit around the star that the Unknown World orbits. The Unknown World is shrouded in an energy shield that forces all ships in the area to land on the planet, and as such, the wreckage of thousands of years of space travels' wayfarers' ships are rusting here.
[edit] Urkupp Urkupp is a large world with different kinds of wild life. It has deserts, jungles, forests, grasslands and mountains. This planet is mainly a nature preserve.
[edit] Ut Ut is a planet in the Hapes Consortium, known for its beautiful singers.
[edit] Utapau Utapau appears in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith with large sinkholes covering much of the surface (which is otherwise quite grassy). Entire cities are built in cracks and crevasses in the sides of the massive sinkholes, which extend inwards in perpetual twilight.
Towards the end of the Clone Wars, General Grievous traveled to this world to re-group and relocate the Confederate Separatist Council to Mustafar and to trap Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Port Administrator Tion Medon aids Obi-Wan and Commander Cody in tracking down the General.
Utapau consists of two primary races; the Pau'ans comprise thirty percent of the planet's population. They are the upper class of Utapaun society. They work as government officials, administrators, and bureaucrats while the Utai and the other primary race perform a secondary role as labor for their Pau'an masters.
Government in Utapau is largely autonomous. Local administrators called "Masters of Port Administration" govern the various cities of Utapau. Each administrator is supported by a committee for that city which helps and advises the administrator on local affairs. Each administrator reports to the Utapaun Committee, which is led by the Chairman of Utapau; head of state and government for the entire planet. Only the Pau'ans serve in these capacities as government officials. Many are appointed because of prestigious backgrounds. The current administrator for Pau City, Tion Medon, is a descendant of the late Timon Menon, credited with unifying Utapau in its early history. Pau'ans prefer darkness to light and raw meat to cooked, which explains the location of their cities deep within the sinkholes of Utapau.
Utapau is also the home of Boga.
In an early rough draft of the first Star Wars movie script, George Lucas originally used the name Utapau for both Tatooine, and Naboo. Utapau is also a Thai city.

[edit] Varl Varl was the homeworld of the Hutts. According to Hutt legend, the two suns, represented by the gods Evona and Ardos, used to illuminate the system. Evona was drawn into a black hole and Ardos became angry and erupted. The gaseous shell of Ardos destroyed all the other planets, but Varl barely survived. The race then went to colonize other planets in the galaxy such as List of Star Wars planets (M-N)#Nal Hutta.

[edit] Velmor Home to a smart and crafty species, Velmore is barely inhabitable, with an atmosphere containing unbreathable gases put there after a failed attempt by the Empire to invade. Seeking a new home, the Velmorians left their Outer Rim planet in hopes of finding a new planet to rule. They attempted to invade Tatooine, but the intervention of the New Republic saved the desert planet. Later, the Velmorians returned to their homeworld, only to be conquered later by the Gyronnians.

[edit] Vendaxa Vendaxa is the homeworld of the Acklay. The planet Vendaxa has one of the densest ecosystems in the galaxy. The Acklay hunt leathery-shelled lemnia on the plains of Vendaxa, using their sharp claws to pierce the shells to gnaw out the fleshy interior. Vendaxa is home to many other nightmarish predators, and became of interest to organisations wishing to deal with the Confederacy on Geonosis, knowing how prized beasts such as the vicious acklay were in the Geonosian Arena. The sun of Vendaxa bathes the planet in a harsh light, causing most life there to evolve small, dark eyes.
[edit] Vizcarra Vizcarra is the planet where smuggler Memcha-Badawzi was sent to after her arrest by the Empire and Tait Ransom was scheduled to be sent to after his arrest for smuggling weapons into on Omman. The criminal wookie Syychi was born on Vizcarra. [24] [25]
[edit] Vjun Vjun (also Vjun, Vijun, or Vijjun) was a hideout for Count Dooku in the Clone Wars. He took an old woman's house and invited Jedi Master Yoda to come and save him from the Dark Side. Really being a trap, Dooku hoped to use the strong power of the Dark Side to finish Yoda, but failed when Jedi Master Obi-Wan and Anakin showed up.
Later, it was where Darth Vader's personal fortress, Bast Castle, resided. It has concentrated acid rain and the fortress is well guarded by many of Vader's best troops, including the legendary Dark Troopers. It also was the holding cell of Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber after he died. The fortress has been infiltrated and attacked many times, once by Kyle Katarn with one of his apprentices, Jaden Korr. [edit] Vortex Vortex is a windy world inhabited by the reptavian species known as the Vors. It was once home to a large crytalline structure known as The Cathedral of the Winds. The Vors created a concert of wind music by plugging holes in the cathedral with their bodies. The cathedral itself was destroyed, and many Vors killed, when Admiral Ackbar's sabotaged B-wing crashed into it. [29] [30]

Wayland Wayland first appeared in Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire novel. The planet was home to the Emperor's Mount Tantiss storehouse, which contained a cloaking device and cloning chambers that Grand Admiral Thrawn used in his war against the New Republic. Wayland was also home to the insane clone of the Jedi Master Joruus C'Baoth. The Mount Tantiss storehouse was eventually destroyed and C'Baoth killed.

[edit] Wroona Wroona is a small blue world in Wroona system, located on the far edge of the Inner Rim in the Rayter Sector. The planet's continents are separated by vast oceans, and their blue-sand beaches stretch for thousands of kilometers. The near-human inhabitants of Wroona, numbering over seven billion, are a blue-skinned species with a lighthearted and optimistic outlook on life. Their society emphasizes materialism and personal gain, and Wroonian merchants, smugglers, and pirates can be found throughout the galaxy pursuing their personal wealth. Their impulsive nature can be summed up by the ancient Wroonian folktale of Master Fate, a being who capriciously blows the winds wherever he pleases. Wroona is run by the Wroonian Guilds, groups that represent all the various trade organizations and businesses, and the planet's primary starport is located on the coast of its largest ocean. Animal life on the world includes Wroonian flycatchers, which hang from coastal cave ceilings by their tongues and swing down to catch their avian prey. The region of space known as Keller's Void acts as a shortcut between the Wroona and Calus systems.
Thousands of years ago, Wroona's civilization was centered around the seafaring trade. The inherent dangers of the sea helped contribute to Wroonians' fearless nature, and the unstable governments of the many coastal kingdoms also contributed to their distrust of authority. Wroona has long been a member of the Old Republic. Many years ago, a band of armored raiders utterly destroyed Wroona's spaceport and killed many, until stopped by the Jedi Knight Soonis. Later, during the rise of the Empire, the Imperials decided to take advantage of Wroona's tactical location. The Empire built a garrison on the surface, appointed an Imperial governor to run the trade guilds, and erected the Wroonian Stardock, a massive resupply and repair facility in close orbit, used only by capital ships too large to land on the planet. After the Battle of Endor, the Wroonians successfully revolted, deposing the Imperials in favor of the leadership of the Wroonian Guilds. Wroona remained independent from the New Republic, becoming a haven for smugglers and mercenaries
Senator Chi Eekway and Baron Papanoida, both seen briefly in Revenge of the Sith, are Wroonian.
[edit] Xa Fel Xa Fel is the capital world of Kanchen sector. It was a centerpiece of action during the Thrawn campaigns five years after the Battle of Endor. It was owned by the Kuat Drive Yards company for a very long time, and this badly polluted the entire planet, such that it is a virtual wasteland now. Following the Thrawn campaigns, a few raids were made on the planet by the Invids pirate group, led by Leonia Tavira and her Jensaarai Force-sensitive allies.
[edit] Xagobah Xagobah is a planet in Sluis Sector. Xagobah is full of large mushrooms. Boba Fett and General Grievous fought there.
[edit] Yag'Dhul Yag'Dhul was the site of a Rogue Squadron orbiting base for training before the Battle of Thyferra. It was taken by the Yuuzhan Vong during their invasion. It is the home planet of the skeletal Givin species, who are capable of surviving in a vacuum—this is because the planet is at the mercy of atmospheric tides which leave part of the planet exposed to vaccuum.

[edit] Yavin Yavin, seen in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, is an orange gas giant. Its core is composed of metallic substances and pieces of carbon and metallic hydrogen that form corusca gems. Although mining these gems is a promising venture, Yavin is mostly known for its moon of Yavin 4, where the Rebel Alliance's base was in Star Wars: A New Hope. Its high pressure atmosphere and core was also used to hide the Sun Crusher for a time, a powerful weapon invented by Qwi Xux.
In the Expanded Universe, Yavin has four other habitable moons. Yavin 2 was colonised by the Gran in 100 ABY. Yavin 8, a moon of large lakes and jungles, is populated by humans and melodies. Yavin 10 is a jail moon. Yavin 13 is a hot desert moon.
[edit] Yinchorr Yinchorr is an ancient and remote world strewn with ruins from the species that used to live there, before they were slain. After their demise, the Empire used the now-harsh and desolate planet as a training center for the Imperial Guards. [11]

Not only was it the focal point of the Dark Side but it is also rumored to be the planet where Lord Sidious allegedly first appeared. It was the heart of the ancient Sith empire, after the failures of Naga Sadow during The Great Hyperspace War. Its destination has been forgotten in recent times, due to the secrecy of the newer Sith Lords. Many ancient and evil secrets remain in this place of great dark power.

[edit] Zonama Sekot Zonama Sekot is a sentient planet capable of travelling through space. It is a peaceful world known for its fast and organic starships. The living world was also a seed of the original homeworld of the extragalactic Yuuzhan Vong, which was destroyed in a devastating civil war. Zonama Sekot plays an important role in the New Jedi Order novels, for it harbors the long-forgotten secrets of the Yuuzhan Vong.
The planet first appeared in the novel Rogue Planet during the time of the Old Republic. Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker travelled to Zonama Sekot to purchase a starship and to find fellow Jedi Vergere. The Jedi eventually learned that Zonama Sekot had been attacked by the Yuuzhan Vong after its inhabitants refused to give them one of their organic ships. The attack was stopped when Jedi Knight Vergere offered herself to the Yuuzhan Vong in order that the living world not be harmed. Zonama Sekot was later attacked by Tarkin, a Republic commander at the time. In response, the living world unveiled its massive hyperspace system and fled into the Unknown Regions.
Years later, after the Yuuzhan Vong captured the capital world Coruscant, Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade and Jacen Solo, along with several Jedi and droids, travelled into the Unknown Regions to find Zonama Sekot. In The Final Prophecy, the Executor Nom Anor, disguised as Yu'shaa, the leader of the underground Jeedai heretics, attempts to destroy the living world. Later, in The Unifying Force, Zonama Sekot travels to Yuuzhan Vong-held Coruscant (renamed Yuuzhan'tar) where it gathers the Yuuzhan Vong willing to follow it and then journeys into the Unknown Regions.
